  • Ave sits down to have an honest conversation with OG RUclips creator, Aspyn Ovard. She recently broke the internet surrounding her divorce after a very public, long-term relationship. Opening up about mental health, how she deals with outside opinions and juggling single motherhood- she spills it all.

    If I could give some constructive criticism to the podcast, I wish that Avery would allow the guests to speak more and ask them more questions instead of always relating everything back to herself and sharing stories about her. It's hard to stay engaged in the podcast when the guest is barely speaking or sharing. When she interviewed Remi Cruz I was so excited but had to turn it off half way through because every question turned into a story about Avery even to the point where she would cut Remi off to talk about her own life.

    I feel so deeply for Aspyn. She built a successful career based on sharing her life, and now she’s going through such a difficult time that she deserves to go through privately. But she’s pulled by her career to share about it online and many people sadly believe that they’re entitled to know everything. I hope her privacy can be respected and if she does want to share that she can be welcomed by a supportive, healing community and not a judgmental, nosy one. Everyone grieves and heals differently❤

    I usually dont comment, however I think she did a great job. The reason why she gave some examples about her personal life/experience is to relate to Aspyn this is very common and something we all do to bond with people. I also think she didn’t beat around the bush too much, maybe a bit in the beginning but she asked all the interesting questions we all wanted to know. I didn’t think it was boring at all. I loved it.

    23:08 this part is still so strange to me though. Why would they go for lunch together with friends without saying anything about a divorce and then file two days later? You'd think if you're that close to filing for divorce, you wouldn't be going to lunch with friends together..

    Never taken Zoloft, but I was put on Lexapro that I take at night and it has helped me tremendously. Sometimes I do have that zombie-like feeling but I've noticed much less if I take it before bed and get enough sleep. I would definitely recommend trying that if you're open to/haven't tried it before! Way less of the dramatic highs and lows for me. The only side effect I've really noticed otherwise is a decrease in appetite, but it's slowly getting better as I'm getting used to it :)

      I have just been prescribed Lexapro and am so scared that I will gain weight from it! Did you experience any weight gain from it? Also, how long did it take before you felt the difference in your mood?

      @KatelynnTrachsler 3 месяца назад

      @@csyl4720 I haven't personally noticed any weight gain, but everyone is different. It's all just honestly trial and error, I just got lucky with Lexapro. Best thing I would recommend is just try to sort through in your head when youre actually hungry or just feeling snack-ish. I had that problem on Birth Control.
      As for the difference in mood, almost immediately within a few days of taking it, but for me there's also been a weird transition of adjusting to the new "normal". I'm not used to my anxiety and depression not being at 1000% so I'm just trying to sort out my feelings as I go. Definitely more prepared to do so with the prescription though. :) Hopefully that helps
