I like the R16 system, it motivates dancers to improve on their weaker skills and perhaps encourages them to respect all elements of breaking.

That unstabbed chair spin from Ryuji is probably the craziest move I've seen this year. Huge respect to both these crews, amazing battle, probably the top 2 in Japan.
I think they've got the most creative routines in the world, and they change them up from year to year. I usually hate routines, but if they're that fresh, I can watch them all day.

Found Nation had nice individual sets (especially from Issei) but Body Carnival's OP routines and Ryuji's chair spin sold me
Ryuji is such a good powerhead. Even though I see him mess up more than others he's still one of my favorites.

Really digging the good show of sportsmanship at 14:40, without losing the intensity of the battle. And so glad the judges were tougher with scoring than last year's finals. Way too many "perfect 5s" last year. Dope!
If you look closely at 14:19, you will see that Found Nation's member realized that Body Carnival's member wasn't done yet, that's why his arms dropped. Then, he gets pushed away when he was going to back away.

These are the kind of battles, I would think, DJs love to spin for. I know I would love a chance to spin in Japan if I had the chance, especially with all that creativity and originality that I'm seeing from just this battle!

Dude, mid-battle, you can't tell that. It's much easier to make judgements from your chair at home than from a hot, noisy venue with sweat in your eyes as you're trying to dance. Yeah, he didn't need to push him, but he wasn't taking any chances. It's not easy on the floor, my man. It wasn't intended as disrespect.

I guess you ignored the rest of the battle and have never been in one yourself. That was tame compared to what happens in a lot of cyphers. You have to fight for the floor, and that dude was about to steal his round. They stood up to each other after it happened, but if you look closely, they were smiling, not even mad. This isn't a "friendly" or a "match" or an "exhibition." It's a battle, and respect to the bboys who still bring cypher toughness.

To be honest, I think Body Carnival is disrespectful. At the end of this battle, both teams seemed to avoid handshakes. At R16 World Finals, Taiwan's team, Future Crew had their hands readied for handshakes, but Body Carnival avoided it and quickly went to their side, which caused some Future Crew members to look at the judges in confusion. Then, Body Carnival finally decided to shake hands when one Future Crew member walked to them with an open hand.
