My heart goes out to your dear Mum, sending love & healing thoughts to her & a great big hug to you & your sister for looking after your Mum. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹😍A lot of people don’t bother about their elderly. I spend a lot of time looking after both my 86 year old parents, my dear Mum has dementia & I’m just in the progress of putting her in a nursing home near. me, as it’s getting hard for me as I use a walker & wheelchair myself if I go shopping 🛍️ enough about that.
Love the yarns . Instead of scissors in the hospital, take a pair of nail clippers. That’s what I take on the plane as well when & Travel. Haha good on Cody for grabbing the blanket. Continued prayers for all of you. It’s so hard when someone you love is having health issues. Just know that we’ll be hear. Take the time you need for your mom. Family is the most important thing.
I wish you the best. I understand your struggle. As a retired nurse I have seen your mom's issue many times. It is such a blessing having family members assist with care as people with sundowners require a lot of attention to prevent injuries.
You and your sister are angels for your love and commitment to your mom!

Hi Glenda, I am so sorry to hear that your mum is back in hospital, the hallucinations must be terrifying for her on top of her poor health. I'm not a religious person so instead of prayers, I am sending all my love and hugs for your mum, she is in my thoughts all the time and I hope that she is on the mend soon. Also, I am sending love and hugs for both you and Lori, it is such a difficult time for you both, but your mum could not have wishes for 2 more loving, caring daughters than she has got, if I had been blessed with a daughter, I would have been so proud for her to have turned out like you two. Take good care of yourselves and please give your mum a big hug and a kiss from across the pond, in Lancashire, England ❤❤❤🫂🫂🫂😘😘😘❤❤❤

Family always comes first
I’ve worked days and nights at the hospital and you got the better deal for sure. I did my job at the nurses station so I spent a lot of time with sundowners patients but I remember them with fondness because the ones without family to sit with them are surrounded by strangers and that would cause a lot of confusion and anxiety for them. You just wanna hug them but they don’t want a stranger touching them!😢 You take care of mom and we’ll be here when she is feeling better…❤
My mother-in-law had sundowners also. She was one of the first to die of covid. You are not only a beautiful crocheter you are a loving daughter. So glad you are a nice person in the world of mean out there. Your mother treasures you and your siblings. You are doing the very best for your mom right now, as it should be, don't worry about us we are here to encourage you.
Prayers for your Mom Glenda. I recently went through this with my Mom. She kept worrying about my boys (who are adults now, but she thought they were still children). She is now in a group home (here in Ohio). It's very nice. They have tweeked her meds and she's doing so much better now. She still have some memory issues but her anxiety is so much better. She is 88. 🙏🏻
My great grandfather had sundowners too. He yelled all night. Even when he went to sleep he would yell! I had a baby monitor in his room and the tv part was right at my bedside. He would yell or yell sing in his sleep and I would be jumping up out of my bed so fast! I was in my thirties at the time so I was a lot faster and stronger than I am today.

Hi Glenda, thank you so much for your sneak peek! Loving your idea of mixing the puzzle yarns. I will do that next year. Please Glenda do not stress about getting videos and tutorial out. It is exhausting spending the day/night at the hospital with your dear Mum. I am a nurse and very familiar with the sundown symptoms it’s horrible to see a loved one struggle when they are taken out of their environment. Praying for you all. 🙏❤️

Prayers to you and all of your family. Please take care of yourself and get plenty of rest. Being a caregiver is one of the hardest things to do and having to watch your mom go through sundowners is even harder.
Clover has a necklace type pendant to cut yarn, I could not be classified as a weapon, can even carry it on the plane.

Hi Glenda-Thank you for the tip of using 2 yarns that share a color! A substitute for scissors ✂️ at the hospital: bring a small nail clippers to cut your yarn 🧶

The Premier Puzzle afghan is beautiful Glenda, the new one you're working up is beautiful too, I love those colors. I'm crocheting a blanket with Premier Puzzle Crossword, I love browns so I'm happy with it. My young niece wants me to teach her to crochet tomorrow, I hope I can do a good job. My Mother taught me 50 odd years ago, I plan on introducing my niece Olivia to your channel.

First let me say the Burgundy Blanket is Beautiful, the color choice is just so pretty.
My Momma had early onset Alzheimer's ( she was 57 she lived to be 75) and she had Sundowner's
We learned to treasure the time even it it was bad, because believe it or not there are good ones mixed in.

I made a blanket with the checkers puzzle yarn for my husband as a Christmas gift. He loves it. It covers our 3 cushion couch. ❤
So sorry to hear about your mom's struggles. My mom is just a bit older than yours and we had issues when she was in rehab this year. Many older people have a mental reaction to some of the drugs. They see things that are not there, are paranoid about things going on around them. Mom sees conspiracies going on everywhere. It is sad because the meds help with pain but can do strange things with the mind. Good luck to you, your mom, and your whole family. I know this is a difficult time.

Glenda- I can't wait for those patterns, especially the puzzle yarn patterns! Sorry to hear about your mom, being a caretaker is never easy. I haven't had the burden of being a full time solo care taker, but I have been and am in the midst of helping to take care of aging parents. One who has multiple serious medical conditions, the other one who is finally accepting help after having a heart attack.

I'm so sorry your mom has to deal with sundowners. My mother went through the same thing. I spent many evenings at her house trying to make her feel safe. I'm praying for positivity to come help her beat back the scary things. -- In the mean time I'll keep watching for your uploads and maybe looking at a few of the older ones while I wait.
