In a world plagued by threatening creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in the Japan Defense Force to defeat them.
"Let's wipe out the Kaiju together."
Kafka pledged to his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Over time, life circumstances forced them to go their separate ways and caused him to abandon his lifelong ambition.
He found himself employed by Monster Sweeper, Inc., a professional cleaning company that specializes in cleaning up the aftermath of Kaiju battles. Meanwhile, Mina Ashiro is now the Captain of the Defense Force's 3rd Division. As it stands, he is currently unworthy of fighting Kaiju alongside her.
At work, Kafka crosses paths with the highly motivated Reno Ichikawa. Reno's undying determination to join the Defense Force leaves no room for failure. His perseverance reawakens Kafka's ambition of standing next to Mina as they protect humanity from Kaiju together.
A dream frozen by time, thawed by a burning promise.

This feels like an anime from the 2000s. Interesting.
I wish there was a feature in Crunchyroll that would let you favorite a future release, so you’d get an alert when it comes out. Most of the time I forget about shows I’m interested in that are months away.

I like the fact that there was a bit of comedy relief with the MC’s kaiju form transformation. Other shows he’d probably just be some mindless monster when transformed, but he still retains his personality here.
This series is, to me, what Chainsaw Man was for everyone else.

This looks better than I thought. The funny part broke the tension. I'm more curious to watch this now.
I was hoping Soshiro would be voiced by the actor who does Levi and Law, because that's the voice I imagined for him in my head. Not complaining, though. I have a pretty good idea of where season 1 is going to end, and I am *SO* looking forward to this.
Hopefully it ends with the aftermath of the Base assault and Hoshina vs no 10's battle. Also ngl I imagined him with a more higher pitched casual voice since he likes to joke around when he's not serious lol.
