I have been running superteam wheels for the past 5000km and they have performed flawlessly, they still roll like new and are straight and true. Mine are the cheapest ones too so I would expect great things from the expensive ones.
I made exactly the same face as you when you spun that rear hub 😂 nice looking wheels, the spokes remind me of the old lightweight wheels that we all used to drool over.
Facebook served me an ad for this wheelset a few days. I'm eager to see your review of them. I might snag me a pair for my "budget" superbike build too.
I had very similar issue with GY F1 SS R (tube version), got 3 punctures in less than 90km. I mostly rode on smooth surface. When I inspected the tyres, it already had small holes in it. Maybe I got unlucky. I then reinstalled older GP5k and no more puncture.
I think it’s a quality control thing maybe? Or maybe not…either way I’ve used so many different tyres and brands over the years but this is the first time I’ve had this.
They look cool, but a lower number of carbon spokes still scare me. I'd be interested in seeing you do a "proper" budget bike build at some stage, not just a budget superbike. :) Maybe you could even crowdsource the parts list/selection.
This is a great idea. I was a bit scared of carbon frames, wheels to begin with…the same with the spokes. Though the more I ride different wheels with carbon spokes the more trust I have in them.
The dimples on the wheels remind me of gp5000 tread pattern. I have to say riding on gravel should not do that to a tire. I would try and return then that is a factory fault in my eyes. I ride gravel loads on my bike and I ride with 110 psi still
I was surprised that it happened…I know they are not designed for gravel but also dont think it’s a good thing to be happening. They are a very lightweight tyre though, I did expect more than “thanks for letting us know, we’ll pass it on” 😂
@@DaveNoakes i use both clincher and tubeless from goodyear never had this kind failure, all my tire flat out due to huge mile usage. note road in vietnam are not user friendly many are cracking some even full of contamination like shrapnel from plastic object sometime random metal object like wire paper clip or small rock. i did got flat numerous time when use clincher but for the tubeless i not change my tire if it not got puncture badly.
@@BarryTaylor7591 that’s great they did. I guess goodyear don’t feel the need to. But didn’t pay for the tyre as I was sponsored by them…but honestly I thought they’d offer a replacement. Would show good form.

Lone to hear this! Thanks for the feedback.

I thought the same about lightweight wheels too 🥰

First impressions are really good. Proper test video coming soon.
I think I saw you this morning Dave cycling towards the Tesco roundabout in Newton abbot?
This is very likely
Bike looks great! Great job!!! 👍
Thank you 🙏🏽
Hi mate. Can you link tire inflater please...bike looks sick!!!!
www.auxito.com/collections/auxito-tire-inflators I still need to try it on a larger tyre but it worked really well on these.

Great looking bike! Not a bit fan of road bikes but this one looks good!
🤘🏻
Much appreciated 👍🏼👊🏼
Quality control
Or not 😂
Depends on the puncture but I do like dynaplugs expensive but the best I’ve found
I like those, the stans dart and also the new wtb plugs are good.
Very cool ! Thanks Dave..... go get it dirty ! Safely , of course
That’s the plan, got to see how this groupset works in some bad weather.
Too cool😎!!
😎 thanks
I always replace my wheels when I get a puncture too......😛
It’s the best fix right?!
probably defect product it like Bontrager problem it delamination the tire. i never have this kind problem with goodyear this thing is new for me
I’ve not had it before either…hopefully won’t again either.

Just a bad batch
That's how to do it...get a puncture and just change the wheelset..classy 😊
Makes sense right?! 😂
A little concerned that you did this vid sans feline supervision Dave. Hope you are safe on the ride!!
They were having a little r&r in the garden.
That is tyre delamination Dave - get a free replacement
I did email them but was pretty much ignored.
Had a similar problem and TREK replaced my tire.

Id say it's a manufacturing defect in the tyre Goodyear should replace it 🤔
“Should” 😂
Ooooh, yes very pretty.. but I think they will be a brutal ride...
I think you’re right…add that to the frame stiffness and I’m in for one hell of a ride 😂
Yep, there's no denying it - that bike looks the dog's bollocks!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Schmancy
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Must be nice just get a new bike
Everyone loves a new bike day. I bought this one years ago…feel dead lucky to be able to test these parts out though.
