There are only BTS korean songs that have a music video/Korean MVs in this video. I didn't include BTS Japanese MVs or Side Tracks. The ranking is based on 'Average Range'.
The smallest Average Range is the fairest Line Distribution, but the biggest Average Range is the worst Line Distribution.

In most of the songs Jin and suga are at bottom. They deserve more lines
I think it's super interesting how rap line write majority of the songs but tend to have the least lines. That's not necessarily a bad thing, because they all have their own roles in the group and ultimately all of them contribute equally to the band. It was just a pattern I noticed.
And it's understandable that JK has the most lines, he is the main vocalist and the centre of the group.
i think it's because in most the vocal line does prechorus, chorus and bridges while the rap line each tend to have one individual verse in the song
it's because bts seems to focus more on songs that suits vocalist rather than rappers. Other groups do the contrary, rappers get most lines compared to vocalist. It's a bit of a shame though, because bts has a strong rap line so it would be fair to make them shine once in a while

@@ayakoha exactly, I get that they have moved passed the rap phase but if you're going to do songs that are centered around vocals it makes no sense because there isn't enough lines to give too Jin.
@@faith4365 I agree to that, it's true JK is so talented it's almost unfair this man is literally a whole k-pop group in just one person, BUT bts is still a group and every member should shine. It happens in almost every group sadly, there is that one member who is literally everywhere and the other one who is just as talented (at times even more talented) who is in the shadow. I don't know if it's a matter of popularity, a matter of who fits better the concept of the group or whatever but I wonder why it's so hard to just give a chance to everyone especially when lots of fans ask for it? and if a company can't afford to give a chance to everyone why do you even make groups? Hire solo artists or create smaller groups.

Just saying, BTS's line distribution is decided by the members themselves. If they are satisfied, we shouldn't complain. Even the members said that:
Jin: “When a song is finished, we will all sing it. We will sing the entire song. And then we decide which lines really suit which person and their character. And we try to work that out.”
But it does not mean that they completely choose that themselves the producer and the company have an influence on that too
I think the line distribution is perfectly fine compared to western boy band. There's 7 of them in less than a 4 min tracks. Jungkook just seems a lot bc they count the background ad libs and harmonization.

They do get a fair amount of lines, but just not in the MV’s, prolly becuz the Title tracks are more vocal based, but up until MOTS and BE, the Rap line was getting a decent amount.

When Jin got fair lines in Fake Love, he won them BTS' first Daesang. When Jin got fair lines in Butter, it got the most views in 24 hours than Dynamite.

And when jungkook sang almost half of dynamite, it became their most successful song ever. I' sorry butter did have hype in the beginning but it didn't have longevity and success like dynamite.
Stop saying that jhope have the most lines in spring days, background vocals don't count, he got 0 actually lines. That's why I prefer the live performance to it, hobi and jin are always the underdogs.

Jk sings backup vocals most of the time so that's why he has the most lines in the song, he doesn't usually sing any main lyrics, he just sings the chorus the actual part that makes the song a song so it's understandable.
Line distribution should be based on the demand of the song rather than the position of the members... Jin's voice is suitable for so many songs since he has a wide range of vocals but still he gets the least??? And he has proved with his solo songs that he has so much power and he's capable of so many things..

Rap line writes, composes and produces most of the songs. They are getting the credits as well as their earning just how they deserve it...I don't think getting more lines in a song is necessarily a good thing. It just means you have more burden on stage plus while recording the song. Rap line works more off camera and they are seemingly satisfied with that and they get what they deserve....I don't even know why people here are calling it unfair when rap line are the ones who receives the most profit from the songs

In spring day studio version jhope got 98.2 sec but if you have really seen the line distribution, he don't have a single solo line or even a word. All he did was backup vocals with vocal line and then also got the highest time.

Ik jin has the least lines and Jungkook the most. But vocal line say it themselves that they don't like doing ad libs Cause they are confusing and this is one of the reason jungkook has more lines cause he do ad libs most. But still jin needs more lines

What I love about BTS is that they all have different techniques and style even the rappers (raspy, angry and smooth) and vocal lines (soft, deep, high and balladeer). It really depends on the songs, like Make it Right or Home, Jungkook didn't have a lot of lines. In Bulletproof pt 2, I love how Jimin delivered his lines, I can't imagine anyone else doing it and I'm glad they didn't alternate or Vs growl in other songs. I'm pretty sure the producers know what their doing and doing it well considering how many hits BTS has.

Honestly I think everyone has the perfect amount of lines for their positions. The only complaint I have is that I wish jin was shown in the music videos more…I understand why he doesn’t get too many lines, but he’s one of the visuals of the group so I would’ve expected him to be more front and center during parts of the music video that doesn’t include too much dancing (since Hobi is usually in the front for that)

BTS's weak points is not vocals. It's their line distributions. There songs like Dynamite, Not Today, or Butterfly (Prologue Mix) are examples of bad line distributions. Of course not all their songs have bad distribution of lines. There are good ones like MIC Drop or Butter.

Let’s be honest, more lines will be given to the best and as a normal person with normal unbiased ears, JK does makes the songs sound good! Their songs fits his voice the most too. I would not have listen to their songs this much if not for him! The rest of the vocalists are good too but as a supporting/ second voice to the main voice! The balance is perfect this way! This is why they are boy bands, like in a choir they all have their department!
