A lot of good ideas here. One more I would suggest is to keep eyes on the pup when outside and be sure that elimination is ALWAYS followed by praise and affection. Also, take them outside proactively every couple of hours to intercept inside bathroom urges.
My husband and I are very frustrated with our puppy. My husband wants to bring her back to the rescue where we got her. I don't want to give up that easily. She's a really great pup in every way except for the accidents in the house. We've never had such a hard time training a puppy to go outside. We take her out with our other two dogs and she won't leave the porch. I'm definitely going to be watching a lot of videos to figure out what we can do to help her.
It took one of mini goldendoodles about 4 months to get it figured out. Most of the time we were not paying attention to his cues. Now he and his brother are bell trained and sleep through the night. Hang in there and be patient, they are still learning the rules.
@McCannDogs My puppy will go outside, then run inside and make another smaller puddle in the house, and she pees at our bedroom door even though we were with her (she will eyeball you while doing it) what if it’s territorial? Any advice for that behaviour?
Hello, thanks for the video. I have a 2 y/o dog (mini Goldendoodle) that I want to train to go in the garage on a puppy pad. I know it’s probably against what you preach but try to look past that for me 😉. We did this successfully with our previous pup but this one isn’t getting it. We keep him in a crate at night and when we can’t watch him but he still hasn’t connected the idea that he needs to let us know he has to go. He will hit a bell when we tell him to go to the garage (7 out of 10x’s) but it’s not consistent enough. He gets little cheese “treats” when he goes but how do we have him alert us when he needs to go? Thank you. 🐶
I’ve been doing everything the experts suggest and my 9 month Cockapoo still has “accidents”. I know he can hold it for hours during the day if I leave him in the crate while I’m gone. He simply chooses not to.
ok, I've done all these still my problem pup persists in pooping ONLY in her crate even if I spend hours outside she will hold it till she is in her crate whyyyyy!!! why her crate and then she steps all over it she doesn't seem to mind it. she is an 8-month American bully maybe bad habits from her previous home but how can I teach her to poop outside not in the crate?
I was told that if they poop in the crate that the crate may be too big. They make dividers and it should only be big enough for them to stand in it straight and turn around. I don’t know if it’ll help but it’s worth a shot

Thank you for the advice on water
Dogs often feel excited when being led by their owners. I just subscribed to your channel to always follow the videos

@@McCannDogsthank you so much!
Is it okay for dogs to have a grain free diet?
No that’s a terrible idea
@@kayeezycop I google it and it says that they need grains. But I didn't think so
After your puppy goes to the bathroom, do you mark it with a yes and a treat?

Sounds like he's getting too much freedom! This will help: ruclips.net/video/OJaT_3RB3LU/видео.html
