About the Movie:
Across The Paddy Fields is a work of fiction but is inspired by true events. It is the story of a young woman's journey seeking information about her dead insurgent father.
In the name of anti-insurgency operations, thousands of young men and women of Assam and Northeast India have lost their lives in alleged fake encounters committed by Government Security Forces. The Director, Writer and many other people associated with this film have grown up listening to such haunting stories.
This film is an ode to those unfortunate souls.
