SCP-953 is a female Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) approximately 8 kg in weight, with a spine that splits around the 26th vertebra into nine separate tails.
Subject will display some vulpine aspect (ears, tail, paws, eyes, fur, voice, mannerisms) in all of its alternate forms: this can serve to identify the subject should it attempt disguise, although SCP-953 will attempt to conceal its tails through clothing and other methods.
In addition to polymorphic abilities, SCP 953 displays moderate level psionic abilities, namely suggestion and telepathy. Although insufficient to fool an outside observer, an entranced subject can be convinced of a variety of false facts, including the nature of SCP953 , its own nature, and the nature of things around it. SCP-953 has used this in the past to, among other things: deceive police officers investigating reports of loud screams from a hotel room and more.

you did forget one side note in your video: Foundation personnel assigned to capture SCP-953 after this latest incident noted that the subject appeared listless and apathetic, and did not resist capture. No further casualties have resulted from SCP-953 from that date.
Yeah, I remember that part of the original file.... Either the furry's traumatized her or what she did Traumatized her. And to be honest, we'll probably never know the answer.

Well now, I never thought you would ever make a video on SCP 953 Dr. Bob, but here it is, in all it's glory, and I must say, you did a very good job on making this video. SCP 953 is indeed a very dangerous creature, since she is able to blend in with people quite well, with the fact that some of her Fox traits are still present, but she is very pretty to, I can't leave that fact behind. But we must never by any means of getting to close to her, since she is capable of some what mind control and that is very scary indeed. But let's just hope she doesn't ever escape again. But anyways I hope you have a fantastic New Year and take care Dr. Bob.

I very much enjoyed Dr. Bob's depiction of SCP-953 and the subtlety with which the writer describes its more salacious behaviors. Even so, kumiho, whether the classic Korean myth or the singular incarnation in the lore of the SCP Foundation, scares me silly.

No way, Dr Bob actually covered my favorite SCP. It's always been interesting to me how much more sadistic it is compared to a lot of other ones. And it's had far more breakouts than most as well 😂 Also loved the 1408 reference for her hotel room number. I got a chuckle out of that. Great video as always Dr Bob!
I mean... It's not that bad. Compared to something like 3288 it's basically child's play. But it was enjoyable nonetheless!

Still, I'd say for a non SK class end of the world scenario SCP and a singular entity rather than an SCP consisting of multiple entities, she's still pretty impressive :P
@@IAmMugel To be honest I just have a hard time fearing a Kitsune (or a Kumiho, in this case, I suppose) because of how over-exposed they are already in the media. That's not to say that the story is bad, not at all, I just don't feel any particular way about her in a sense that I don't find her scary. Like yeah, she's cool, but the amount of SCP's that can be described as "scary because bloodthirsty/aggressive" could probably fill several football fields. Maybe that's just me tho.
Still, the animation is great.

Thing with me is I'm so desensitized to fear at this point none of these videos or stories really scare me, so I more look at what each anomaly can do with the abilities given to them, along with how intelligent they are, if they're doing this because they get a sick sort of pleasure out of it, or if it's for survival, things like that.

These stories are always great, cause I imagine what the scientists would do after capturing creatures like this.
"Cold, but never cruel" is the SCP way, but I don't think anyone would object to them experimenting on this creature in the most cruel ways possible. Spiteful revenge tinged with fear, it'd be hard to stop yourself from wondering things like, "I wonder if the creature can regenerate limbs endlessly," and then testing it
......This definitely just awakened something in me.

I remember that part about the furry convention being much different. There was also this part in the article about some Foundation personnel who are fans of anime and furries attempted to get close to her only to end up dead.
For more of the historical background of the 953 I recommend reading SCP-2953 - Polymorphism-Inducing Rocks (+103) by MrWrong. Turns out the fox woman was a weapon created from the spirit of a goddess. Her purpose was to infiltrate China and fight for the Glory of Japan's Emperor.

It is also to be noted that "Addendum 3: Personnel Staffing Revision" states that "Following the unfortunate, and completely preventable, death of Agent Gallagher, any personnel found to have current or prior ties to the "furry" or "otaku" communities are to be immediately reassigned to other projects" as put in place by a member of the 05 council. The funny part is she could realistically devour those dogs whole
It's just in lore, dogs always has been the hatred of many fox spirits like herself. No matter how many times they shift, they can't hide their sent which dogs can pick up and see through their magic
