Spencer might not be a religious person anymore, but he sings these lyrics like he means it, for sure - also, he never sang this good and clean. I am so glad to hear that he finally got his life together, and that they all restored the ties that used to bond them. That is something we'll all need to learn, too, and soon.

Faith is a personal thing, and while not being vocal about it to the outside world (due to different reasons they were vocal about), the words of this song don't necessarily have to be "empty" to them.
