Awww… thanks so much Harry - you’re a very kind man indeed 🙂 I had such a lovely time there and was very lucky with the weather! Have a lovely weekend and I’ll be back soon with more films. All the best & thanks, David
I have walked and cycled this loch many times and I agree, lovely part of the world. My most memorable moment was a " confrontation " with a huge stag on the far side of the loch early one morning ( 5.30. am ) as I cycled around I was met by him in the middle of the path. I was less than 50 ft from him and we had a " stand off " for maybe 25 - 30 seconds surveying each other, beautiful creature, standing proud. He eventually walked off into the bracken, leaving a wonderful " photo " in my mind, never forgotten, together with " Fields of Gold " which is playing as I type this. Many thanks for posting. Thank you.
Hi Paul, thanks so much for watching and I’m so glad you know the loch - it’s such a special place. Wow, sounds like a very special encounter you had - these moments can live on in our minds forever as very special moments in time. Must have looked majestic in the backdrop of the forest. I hope to have some films out soon from Glen Affric which I hope you’ll enjoy too. Just got to get my editing hat on! Have a wonderful weekend & thanks for watching, best wishes, David 🙂
Thanks so much Donna, really appreciate the kind words. Hope to have some films from beautiful Glen Affric out soon. Have a lovely weekend and thanks so much for watching :-)
Always enjoyed watching your videos David. I’m English and emigrated to Sweden 🇸🇪 13 years ago. But I spent most of my childhood holidays in Grantown on Spey and Aviemore. I returned there last year for the first time in over 20 years. It felt like I was home and I didn’t want to leave. It’s just the most special place on this earth
Thanks Gray, really appreciate you watching. That's wonderful you have such lovely memories of this beautiful area. It really is hard to capture the essence of it on film, it's very special. I hope to have a few videos out from lovely Glen Affric soon which I really hope you'll enjoy too. Thanks for watching and all your kind support - I really appreciate it. All the best, David :-)
Realy beautiful video David, my mum who's 94 and I loved it. I've lost count of how ofter I've walked round the loch and up Glen Feshie, never tire of this area. The scenery so beautiful I love how you filmed the dragonfly, orchid Fox and cub daisies and the tiny ducklings, fabulous video we enjoyed it so much best wishes Anne
Thanks so much Anne, always deeply appreciate you both watching and all your lovely, thoughtful comments. It really means a lot :-) Hope to have a few more films out soon. Have a lovely weekend. Warmest best wishes & thanks, David 🙂
This brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful juxtaposition of songs with your glorious video. Later this year I will be visiting Scotland and, depending on my health, hope to book a tour with you. My husband, who died in 2019, the absolute love of my life, and I both have Scottish genealogy. Oh and on my hippie dippy side…the dragonfly is my spirit animal 🥰
Awww… a big heartfelt thank you for your lovely comment. I hoped to film the Emerald dragonfly while I was visiting, but it wasn’t to be - next time! That’s lovely it’s your spirit animal. I’m so sorry to hear about your husband, life can be so incredibly hard at times. I love living in Scotland - being able to visit and spend time in places like this is incredibly peaceful & healing. I’d be absolutely delighted to meet you and show you Edinburgh. It’s a wonderful city, full of magic 🙂 I have a series of films coming out soon from Glen Affric soon, which I hope you’ll enjoy too. Thanks so much for watching & take good care of yourself, best wishes, David
Really hope you enjoy the video. This is such a special place and somewhere that always makes me feel calm & peaceful. I'll be back soon with lots more videos from the Scottish Highlands. Have a lovely weekend and thanks for watching 🙂
Hi David, I was so pleased to receive this video, as I'm going through a bit of anxiety at present. You're right, the scenes bring a calmness, - the details of the insects, duck families, flowers, forest and the water. The views of the Cairngorms reveal such grandeur and beauty. So thanks for sharing and I hope you have a good weekend too.
Thanks Janet, I’m so glad you found it peaceful, anxiety can be such a horrible thing and I really hope you feel better soon. I always find a peace in places like this that really helps me process my emotions and regain perspective. I have more films coming out soon from Glen Affric which I hope you’ll enjoy too. Take really good care of yourself and thanks as always for watching and all your kindness. Best wishes, David 🙂
Absolutely beautiful from beginning to end! I love the Rothiemurchus Estate & Aviemore area. The scenery is just breathtaking! The foliage, flowers & flowering bushes are delightful! I really loved the wee ducklings so much. They are so cute, paddling alongside their 'mummy' & staying so close to her like that. Sweet! Beyond that, your filming is outstanding as always David! Along with all the beautiful scenes & footage that you captured. By jove, 'You've done it again." LOL. Seriously though, you truly have! Thank you for sharing this delightful experience Blessings to you David!
awww... thanks so much Annie, you really are such a kind & thoughtful soul. I had the most wonderful few days, mainly spent in Glen Affric which was amazing. I filmed a few videos from my adventures there, which I hope to have published soon. Thanks as always for watching and hope you have a lovely weekend. All the best & thanks, David :-)

Thanks so much Richard, always deeply appreciate you watching and all your support - it really means a lot :-) It was a much needed escape and I had such a brilliant time, although when I set off home the A9 was closed for 24hrs - but I spent a lovely sunny evening on Morlich beach which I wouldn't have had - so it turned into a positive! I have a few videos from beautiful Glen Affric to edit - just need to carve out some time to get them done! Hope your half-marathon went well and you enjoyed being away. Take care and catch up with you soon. All the best, David
