Yeah I have one that’s also almost 15 years old. But I’m moving into a new house soon so I decided to buy a new one. But yeah the tech trend of buying new stuff every 2 years is insane. Especially because it affects the way companies make products. They used to work perfectly fine for a decade, now you have to be worried after 3-5 years.
One thing that is never mentioned about the lg c1, c2 and c3 is that on the 77 inch models there is a small back slant/tilt when it’s on the stand. If you are wall mounting that obviously isn’t a problem but for me it was since I was using the stand. I just couldn’t get used to the tv having that slant. I went with the a80l because of it which sits perfectly straight on its stand.

Just ordered the 65 inch after extensive research. My current tv is a samsung 55 inch LCD from 2015, so its probably a big upgrade. My current Samsung had it's best time, clouding was the reason why i needed an other TV.
I'm replacing a 60 inch Panasonic plasma with this 77 inch c3. Waiting for it to arrive. Super excited. One big thing I'm hoping isn't an issue, how long is the power cable? My tv will be wall mounted and cables are in the wall, is the power cord going to make it all the way down and out the hole at the bottom and still make it to my power bar?
Between the LG QNED 65QNED80T 65 POL and the 55 POL OLED C3, which will be the best choice/option for movies, games and open programming? Remembering that both are in the same price range and I'm not interested in games!
I considered this, but ended up going with the Samsung S90C instead. the S90C is a QD-OLED meaning a brighter more accurate image, can go to 144hz, and is somehow cheaper here in the UK. The C3 has better software built in, but most people will use a Firestick or Apple TV 4K (Like me) so it nullifies that.

Around there in November, when it's Black Friday. I'm curious, is the LG c4 good choice? If anyone knows, I'm interested to see if there is good upscaling of images from lower quality, for example if I watch cable TV, in 720p or 1080p. And how is it for gaming? Idk what LG is thinking by not having a dedicated play/pause button in 2024, I had that on my tv that I bought in 2016. I mainly use my tv to watch movies and tv shows from my 5tb hdd or a streaming service and to watch youtube. When I went to my local store to buy a new tv almost 2 years ago, I was decided on an LG C2. Thankfully I tested it for a few minutes just to get a preview and a tease of my new tv since it would take 3 days to get delivered 😊 While using it I noticed that there was no dedicated play/pause button, which meant that for some apps you had to click the middle button for the menu to appear and then aim your remote at the play or pause and click the middle button again to confirm, which became very annoying in those few minutes, so I ended up buying a Samsung s90b instead. According to the seller I wasn't the first one to 'rethink' as he put it, buying the C2 because of the remote. I just don't get it, you make this huge remote with all those STREAMING app buttons and you can't add one additional button that would compliment those apps and make them so much easier to use. I am considering buying a C3 and one of the reasons I'm favouring LG is the cursor with the magic remote. I love it! I've never played any games/apps on the TV itself (only using a Wii) so never missed not having a play button. I do have a play/pause button on my HD recorder remote though. 😁

Slightly uneducated about HDMI’s. HDMI have different speeds that allow you to have better color bit rate. From 4.2.0, 4.2.2, 4.4.4. But what do I know… hdmi are mumble jumbo and only needs to be certified
Actually what I said in the video is 100% correct. HDMI 2.1 is a standard, and all 2.1 certified cables have to meet the standard to be classed as 2.1. Which means, they all have the highest possible HDMI data rate (48Gbps). There are no "different speed" HDMI 2.1 cables. 2.1 allows a 4K image to be displayed with 10-bit color, 4:4:4, and HDR. The only "differences" in cables are usually length and correspondingly signal loss in longer, lower quality cables. Which is why buying good quality HDMI cables from good brands is important.
OLED burn in is a bummer. It will not go away. To AVOID burn in, ONLY use OLED to watch great movies or shows. Make sure SCREEN SAVER is set. ANY static screen can cause burn in and it is PERMANENT. I know, cuz , it happened to me. I was told by LG, If your warranty is out, BUY a new TV. Yes, TV looks great and burn in CAN be a problem if you leave your screen frozen on shows or games, websites with static items. ie Web page address, windows OS task bar, window frames, Call of duty score or status, etc. All these static items will cause burn in.
@@hejhej25164 My burn in experience came with web pages and desktop task bars or search bars. I did not notice a burn in effect with sports games. Also , sports games, usually have commercials.
OK so Samsung OLED tvs dont play Dolby Vision and LG dont play HRD10+ ex : S90c vs LG C3. But: If DV is 12 bit and there's no 12 bit tvs yet, this means that LG really is not playing the full version of DV but instead it uses some tweeking technique like 8bit FRC ? Now this would be lying and you would be paying for a tv that does not deliver the goods plus the model C3 for example has less of a gamut of colors compare to the S90C .. adding to the problem of DV 64 millions or billions of combinations of colors that this tv is not able to show! Am I missing something here?

That's an awesome deal! Just got mine (77") yesterday at Coscto as a display for $1500 with their 5yr warranty. This replaced my 60" Vizio from 2012😅 talk about a HUGE upgrade.
@@Voltis-5 awesome deal! Enjoy
Picking up the new WiFi 6 version with 830 nits peak brightness
I’ve got the S90d kind of wish I got the C3 although I’ve always had Samsung TV’s.
I got the c3 55, in 2024 as was alot cheaper then samsung oled or c4
Its a very good tv but i would recommend put the G3 over it
Putting that TV face down like that was painful. Never lay a TV flat!
just picked up a floor model 55"c3 from best buy for ~$340... i feel like i've literally committed theft lol
Ya know I'm happy with my b3, each year they upgrade but besides processor power and hdmi outputs the pictures pretty identical besides brightness level,I can watch this on standard and it looks perfect and very bright in sport and vivid modes,at $779 for 65 oled I'm sold and yes their will be better but at the end of the day I just want a good picture😂
I got c3 83" for 3K. It's perfect bright for my room. G3 too bright.
make a video about best natural picture calibration 4 gaming dude tnx
I just buy them for work desktop monitor / play PS5 in 2024 , best decision 🎉
Will you have burn-in in four years use with this television? Thanks.
Only perhaps if you watch something with the same logo all the time...

I swore you said “Warm Out” 😅
Super confused between G3, S90c and C3. What do you suggest?
G3
C3
S90c
That 77 is way too big so close to the sofa 😂
Nah dude. I have the 83 inch C1 and I sit just as close or closer. It’s amazing

Worth it in 2025 too
Don’t want ads on your TV? Simply don’t connect it to the internet. Just got mine yesterday and I am not connecting it to the WiFi
That's stupid. How are you gonna watch Netflix or RUclips?
yuh shud have gone with g series oled if yuh were buying tv of this size. in c series 42inch is best and portable to handle ,for rest of the linup g3 55 inch and up shud b the choice. yuh wud never have to face issues yuh are facing with c series.
big C series tv is basically a naked g series. a single man can handle upto 55 or 65inch easily , beyond that size they becum cumbersome. one will have problems transporting it from one room to another room .i hope yuh got suggestion bro
Go back to school bro
LoL u got owned steven. 😂
What about programs on tv? For example football games or basketball, skysport logo is static right?
@@hejhej25164 My burn in experience came with web pages and desktop task bars or search bars. I did not notice a burn in effect with sports games. Also , sports games, usually have commercials.
No problem on mine. It’s becoming extremely rare to hear of burn in on any new lg oled. Samsung oled tvs are not as good from what I’ve heard.
OLED burnout is a myth now😂 its 2024 not 2014
The feet pics comment threw me off. Why
OK so Samsung OLED tvs dont play Dolby Vision and LG dont play HRD10+ ex : S90c vs LG C3.
But:
If DV is 12 bit and there's no 12 bit tvs yet, this means that LG really is not playing the full version of DV but instead it uses some tweeking technique like 8bit FRC ? Now this would be lying and you would be paying for a tv that does not deliver the goods plus the model C3 for example has less of a gamut of colors compare to the S90C .. adding to the problem of DV 64 millions or billions of combinations of colors that this tv is not able to show!
Am I missing something here?
its amazing
lol even a cx is still great in 2024.. what a title.
"Still worth it in 2024"? It's a year old.

No one buys a tv every 4-5 years .
I had a Sony for 20 years till it just stopped.
I only buy Sony
So my next Sony will be the Bravia Sony oled it’s about 5k I believe it’s one of the big ones .
I upgrade to the latest tvs every 2 years
@@rhsalcewhat do you do with the tv you’re upgrading from?
@@ayo3014 Sell on offer up or to freinds and family
I upgrade every 2 to 3 years as I am like magpie to new shiny things and I always give my older TVs to friends and family for free 😊

I am moving out from a relationship and need to get a new tv next month. Is the G3 worth the price difference compared to the C3? Or should I go C4? Also still thinking if I should get a 65" or 77". The G3 77" is a beast but I think I can not justify the huge price jump and if I wouldve bought it I would be disappointed with myself I blew so much money on it.
65 and 77 is a huge difference so I would take into account how far away you're sitting when watching it
