He didn't commit suicide...and even if he had thats an ignorant comment. He had a disease, addiction.
He didn't have cocaine, heroine, vicodine, oxy, meth, fentynol, alcohol or other illicit drugs in him. He had prescribed medication in him at medicinal levels except Ketamine. From what I've heard he was getting proper amounts by infusions...but he self-medicated & it killed him. He may have survived (again) if he hadn't been in water & drowned. But his organs were all diseased from drug abuse. It's tragic. Wish he could've stayed sober consistently to avoid how damaged his organs got.
He helped others get sober. But couldn't save himself.
He wasn't squeaky clean but there's no need to say that.
Who here has seen friends a million times? I wish there was 10 more seasons to watch! :)

am not just a fanatic of friends, this show has helped me a lot when i was little, my english got better, my personality got better, it gave some kind of wit.
and helped me a lot when i got older, helped me with my depression, and gave me something beautiful and peaceful to watch mid war. This show means so much to me, and i appreciate all the writers and producers and actors that made this happen.

I think it's safe to say that F.R.I.E.N.D.S is one of the Greatest Shows of All Time. So much to learn and love about the show. I just finished series and watched the Reunion, so much emotions I tell you. One minute you're watching them all young, the next they're so old but still as fun as before. I love love the show. Hearing how much he was doing to help others who suffered with addiction, personally and through charities he set up, makes his loss so much more devastating. He was so much more than the character he portrayed..which i totally fell in love with. We lost a truly beautiful human being with a heart of gold. I sure hope he can somehow feel the love the world feels for him and how many millions of lives he touched.

I’m 25. I remember my mother having the complete CD collection. My older brothers binge watched these when I was a kid and I remember watching with them. My mom watched friends when they were airing. And even now after having watched all 10 seasons many times I still come on RUclips to watch clips, because every scene is a laugh and all six characters to this day feel like old friends. This series honestly is the best, and a lot of tv shows now take from the many plotlines that happened first on friends. I’m not obsessed with the show or anything but it’s like one of those constants in my life you know? And to this day the new generation watches friends and is entertained. Really, the best show I’ve ever watched.

Alright, maybe a bit corny (I believe that's the word), but when I watch friends its like coming home. Its cozy and nice. I know, so weird... Maybe its the warm filter they've used or the jokes or the acting, I like the show. 😁

I agree with you, but you know what they say "Hör auf wenns am Schönsten ist" or in english: "Quit while you are ahead". I believe that "Friends" would not be in such a good memory and so much loved if the show would have gone on. Its inevitable, but most shows will get worse over the time. And I believe the creators knew that, and stopped before it would start to suffer quality. I think the creators did the right thing, its sad that there are "only" 10 seasons, but you can say that every season is really good. And thats one of the points why "Friends" is so perfect, they quit the show before it would start to get bad. And the timing was quite good, with Monica and Chandler moving out, Ross and Rachel finally together, Joey a movie star, the characters started to go their own ways. From this point on, the original situation when "Friends" started was gone, and I believe it would have been difficult to keep up the quality with the changed setting. You can see how TV-shows will (mostly) inevitably get bad if they run to long if you take a look at "The Simpsons". Once a great show loved by everyone, but today it's just terrible. If "The Simpsons" will ever stop airing (probably in 50 years or so), they wont be kept in memory as a good show, but as a worn out show which got ever worse over the time. If not so drastically, I believe the same thing could have happend to "Friends" if it would have gone on longer. I think its for the best that "Friends" stopped after 10 seasons, otherwise I probably wouldnt love it so much.

I started watching friends with my kids when they were small. They all grew up and left home. I then watched it alone for several years. I now live with my daughter and my little 5 yr old grandson. What a special time in my life to be sharing FRIENDS with him! He even claps during the intro! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Rewatched all episodes in Netflix with my 16 -yr- old son recently (he probably caught a hundred out of 236 episodes that I watched for several weeks). He liked the series (more than "Big Bang Theory", accdg to him), and specially loved Joey-he thought he was the funniest.
Today, he woke me up with the sad news that Chandler had passed. He knew it would make me sad and said, "sorry, mom."😪

I was 21 when the show started - I saw the broadcast of first episode while doing an internship in NYC. I was along for the ride while Gen X were living our 20s / early 30s along with them. I had a daughter about the same time as Emma and the twins. I crushed on Matthew Perry long before friends. Thank you for all you did, sir. May your life be a beacon for those that follow.
I love that song.
It is short and well crafted. I particularly enjoy the bridge part when the key goes from major to minor and then comes back to major, overshooting a bit before settling back to the main key. The harmonies just drive the flow of keys and emotions. Wow!
I'm pretty sure the Rembrandts had to come up with that bridge part (and lyrics for a second verse) at a later date. The original recording wasn't a full song... it was just the short bit you see on TV. But there was so much interest in the show and that song that they ended up writing the rest of it.
