I've done that "struggle walk" back to the car a thousand times. 35 years of booting and re-selling. Loved every minute. Retired now...and miss it so much. I re-live my glory years of booting through your videos now George. 👴👍👍👍
This was such a joy to watch. Started going to car boot sales as a kid with my mum because we couldn't afford much growing up. I now run my own very successful IT consultancy but I rarely miss a boot sale. It's like treasure hunting!
Some good pick ups George. went to my first car boot last weekend in about 10 years, safe to say watching these helps me look for stuff I should be getting thanks
hi George, about cleaning the typewriter, like you were saying it can take a while to get all the grime etc off but a top tip I found on cleaning the letter slugs was using blue tac or some old play doh, just roll it into a small ish ball (make sure you get it warm and sticky) and dab it onto the slugs and it pulls all the old ink off, some online videos show you how to dismantle all the metal keys to do it and it can take hours, this method takes a few minutes, if that, and they come up like new lol, can also work on some other hard to get to areas too if you wrap the blu tac at the end of some tweezers or a long screwdriver 👍
That typewriter you looked at the bloke was putting a brown box out with what looked to contain Hasbro wrestling figures some decent money in those George 👍
Next to the type writer you had a citadel paint set. Citadel the part of games workshop (who produce warhammer) that deals with paints and hobby supplies. They can be worth very good money if unused.
You should had bought those WWF figures from the bloke with the sticky typewriter, some of them can go for a far bit and are getting increasingly harder to find.
Oh dont get me started - i sell at antique and collectors fairs occasionally - there are people - when you have a bit of a crowd looking at what you are bringing out - who grab a few things and hold them - then once the crowd moves on having bought what they want they put the things back down again - one woman held on to something so long i had to ask her if she was going to buy it - she said she wasnt sure so i told her to put it back till she decides - you get all sorts
I've had it before where even if your holding onto it someone will come in and buy it out of your hands, then it depends on the seller at that point, needs to be a little more respect when others are looking within reason of course they can't say they are looking at the whole stall !!!
Love your videos dude, and ya a local lad 😁 you Eva tried Wickford charity shops? There 4 in town all few minutes from each other. You could do a run though Billericay, Wickford to South woodham
@@christoguichard4311 really u jammy git hahaha 😆 stay out of my shops hahaha nah only messing done well, there 3 by bridge, Barnardo's is tucked away in shopping part, Sue Ryder is next to the road by zebra Crossing, and there one more opposite sue ryder across the road. Can't believe I missed out 🥲
Those dvd/vhs combos are great sellers, I dont even check the solds anymore! If they want £10 or less i pick them up and they never sell for less than £40 in my experience😊
Just watching your video Buddy, always good but never pick up Alba they are shite and not worth anything especially a bulk standard DVD player. If you got it in a bundle not much you can do about it but don't even bother testing it or listing it.
Yeah I only got them as they wanted to get rid of the whole lot. Will put them on Facebook marketplace for a fiver each for a few days to see if anyone wants them first 👍🏻
George, i don’t know about you but I call that a successful morning! Look out for those retro wrestling figures and wrestling figures in general. There is a market it. Generally from adults believe it or not.
Thanks Phil 😊 yeah I know certain ones can be worth picking up but with my current backlog at the moment I haven't got the space for a load of figures lol

Yeah toys aren't really my thing. Just shows there's enough stuff out there for everyone as different resellers specialise in different things 👍🏻
Wow really 😮
Dried on oil comes off easy with paint thinners. 😉 Obviously don't use it on any painted surfaces.
Thanks for the tip!
Yeah he was “looking at those” but I bet he wasn’t buying anything ! Loved the “tat throne” for young Lenny and now you got the girls involved too!

OMG, nearly spat my tea out when you asked the guy how much for his "clock", i'm a bit deaf and thought you said something else ;-)
So did I & I was eating a big pot of yoghurt at the time!
Pure filth !
where is this car-boot please ...
Love your videos dude, and ya a local lad 😁 you Eva tried Wickford charity shops? There 4 in town all few minutes from each other.
You could do a run though Billericay, Wickford to South woodham
I once bought 5 Polaroid cameras for a quid each from that charity shop in Wickford right up the far end of the high street near the bridge.
😁👍

At the typwriter:
2,4,6,8 + 15 IS NOT 22 quid haha. Should have been 23!
I sold the same clock for£135. Aim high!
Worth more than I thought at the time, it's listed high!
Bet you wish you had your trolley with all them vcr/dvd players lol
good finds, looks like you need a bigger car now?

How much you asking for that dash cam on subscriber and returning customer special?
Hey Wayne, thanks for the interest but it sold already before releasing this video!
@@RetroReselling if you get or find another a similar or same brand let me know as am looking for one myself.
Nice one .
No trolley= heavy purchases every time 🤣
Every.single.time 🤣
a half hour vid... yesss
I might have emptied the car after the first sale to make room for the second🙄🤔😉
No time for that! Lol
I find that video players from bootsales never seem to work.
Love a pound rail
Sure she said it has got the remote.
