I once had a putt slowly rim around the cup 1.5 times and then stop on the edge. It said 0.4 feet away. That's the only time I've seen 0.4. I've seen 0.5 dozens of times probably. The 0.4 one didn't even have a ball marker in the spot when my friend putted. That's how close it was to the cup lol. It was unlucky to say the least.
All that's missing is 0.4 feet away (or whatever that equates in your measurement). I have only gotten it once and never got it again, I believe it to be a glitch but it is possible.. perhaps?
In the pal version it measures the distance when you are on the green in meters (somehow the game measures it in yards when you are on the fairway). The closest you can get is 0.1m. I know that in the game 1 meter equals 3 feet, although the real life factor is about 3.28084. So that would mean 0.3 feet is the closest you can be, but the distance of 0.1 meters is probabely rounded so 0.4 feet could make sense. I get 0.1 meters a lot, especially on hole 1 where I have lineups to get an eagle. I think the shot at @2:36 is the closest you can ever get to the hole without actually landing in it. The ball somehow glitched on the rim as it didnt bounce and it even moved slightly on the rim. I watched the whole clip on my computer and it was actually 0.1 meter.
