Ari aster is a great comedian. I watched hereditary and midsommar both on theaters and the audience were laughing on both movies. Probably not because the scene was funny, more of a nervous laugh.
The dude's facial expressions made it funny. He thought he was gonna enjoy his underage activities and ended up freaked out. There was some true hilarity woven in between the horror.

This scene was so f****d. Drugged and r***d. Dani was so beyond manipulated. The ending is so unsettling for this fact + him not being able to defend himself. I was more angry than anything tbh
The uplifting overall atmosphere with its lush green fields and never ending sunshine made it hard for me to understand the horror those tourist were going through. The content is disturbing. but delivery of it is lighthearted.
SUCH a good film. It really does do a wonder of showing just how people get indoctrinated into cults... especially with the 'love bombing' that happens to Dani shortly after this scene.
Dani looks in: - The women are clustered in a group, only a few intrepid souls are dancing with each other. The ones off the dance floor are looking around anxiously, as if something SHOULD be happening but isn’t. The guys are ALL standing against the wall like they are down range of a firing squad, trying to be still and not move, else they be forced to ask a girl to dance.
The music when she sees through the eye hole starts to sound as our hearts when we are in great emotional stress. You can hear your heart form inside through your ears.
As a minor forced to see this movie, my eyes were bleached afterwards. Edit: A lot of people wondering why I was forced, it was because my family thought it was a nice movie. It was not
i was watching it in low volume and thought that the muffled beat is the soundtrack. i thought the beat was so eerie, just like that in Hereditary. then as Dani came close to the door, i turned the volume up, and almost woke up my parents from laughter becuase it was *caramel* fuckin *danssen*
You know, when I was watching this film, the music had a beat that was very "EDM" and for a minute my mind would be occupied with the beat and how club-like it sounded. I'm so happy to see this edit because someone else's brain heard what I heard and I think that's neat. Subbed btw clean detailed edit is clean! B)
the song is in swedish. ”dansa med oss, klappa era händer, gör som vi gör sen ordna ett steg åt vänster, lyssna och lär, missa inte chansen, nu är vi här med karamelldansen” = ”dance with us, clap your hands, do it like we do, then fix a step to the left, listen and learn, dont misd the chance, now we are here with the carameldance”

Not rebecca bestie-
the editing.....it's immaculate
The way this film made me feel sad, anger and fear is what freaked me out the most and how it just messes with ur head
Another good movie to make you feel those things is Soylent Green (1973 movie). Depressing AF.
Eyes Wide Shut is a heart churner
with peace and love, i never want to see another movie like this again ❤️
When I was 6 I saw the Exorcist at a sleepover which traumatized me literally for years. This movie I saw in my 50s & it just creeped me out & left me feeling really disturbed.
Christian was partying while playing the Xbox and the game was so gory it triggered a panic attack. I refuse to believe anything else.
Memes aside, seeing the actual scene during theater releases made the audience crack tf up due to the sheer bizarreness
There was some true hilarity woven in between the horror.
ah yes. nothing funnier than a man being raped.
@@breath888 dude he was drugged
I mean, the movie is definitely a comedy on top of being a horror movie. There are so many laugh-out-loud moments
The music enough is scary......stirred up my imagination
Without the context of the film, it’s even more terrifying to wonder what it was Dani saw in the flashing Caramelldansen room.
DUDE I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS MOVIE AND I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THE SONG AND DISCO LIGHTS WERE APART OF THE ACTUAL SCENE. I was literally tearing up from how disturbed I was too..
this movie was extremely disturbing.
that was made it more scary than most.
I feel like I have actual ptsd form this scene lmao. I have refused to watch it since I first saw the film and even though I know it’s going to be a shit post I feel queasy
For me it was that scene w/ the guy stuffed into the bear. I usually like horror movies but I couldn't sleep for like a week because of that 😩
@@Jenny-ep4fy and he could feel pain but couldnt scream or do anything bc he was paralyzed AAAAAAAAAAA
@@Jenny-ep4fy same :((
For me it was the slow mo of corpses hitting the rocks, like, no sir, absolutely no
i just watched the movie and its safe to say its the most fucked up thing I've ever seen lol
This scene was so f****d. Drugged and r***d. Dani was so beyond manipulated. The ending is so unsettling for this fact + him not being able to defend himself. I was more angry than anything tbh
What happens? What does she actually see. I quit watching this moving when the people jumped off the cliff…

The uplifting overall atmosphere with its lush green fields and never ending sunshine made it hard for me to understand the horror those tourist were going through. The content is disturbing. but delivery of it is lighthearted.
yesss that’s the masterpiece of the film!! that’s how cults get ya
@@etourdizzy it’s stolen from multiple other sources, the movie doesn’t do anything new and Ari Aster sucks
@@kevindavidson8281 i respect that (:
SUCH a good film. It really does do a wonder of showing just how people get indoctrinated into cults... especially with the 'love bombing' that happens to Dani shortly after this scene.
@@kevindavidson8281 bruh, cinema has been around for decades i really doubt there is anything new to be done in the first place 😅
Dani looks in:
-
The women are clustered in a group, only a few intrepid souls are dancing with each other.
All I can imagine is that her boyfriend is doing the knee-copter in there
The way everything is so bright and clear and almost plastic. It’s exactly what my dissociation looks like
the fact that I’ve tried like a million times to watch this movie but I CAN NOT FINISH IT. 😭
As a minor forced to see this movie, my eyes were bleached afterwards.
Edit: A lot of people wondering why I was forced, it was because my family thought it was a nice movie.
It was not
Wtf why were you forced?
It’s been two days miss girl why were you forced??
Girl why were you forced?????
It’s been 3 days miss girl why were you forced???
It's been 4 days girl, why were you forced?????
I'm guessing there was a CloudxSephiroth doujin circa 2009 playing out in there. Who can blame her.
2009 was a very dark time for the final fantasy community.
At the beginning I was like I’m ready getting chills and then just started laughing from then on
i was watching it in low volume and thought that the muffled beat is the soundtrack. i thought the beat was so eerie, just like that in Hereditary. then as Dani came close to the door, i turned the volume up, and almost woke up my parents from laughter becuase it was *caramel* fuckin *danssen*
What’s that? It’s not for us🤣
You know, when I was watching this film, the music had a beat that was very "EDM" and for a minute my mind would be occupied with the beat and how club-like it sounded. I'm so happy to see this edit because someone else's brain heard what I heard and I think that's neat. Subbed btw clean detailed edit is clean! B)
I thought so too!
As a Swede I can confirm *this* is what actually happens at midsummer
She was bombarded with a decades worth of weeabo culture in an instant...
Her brain trembled.
the song is in swedish.
”dansa med oss, klappa era händer, gör som vi gör sen ordna ett steg åt vänster, lyssna och lär, missa inte chansen, nu är vi här med karamelldansen”
=
”dance with us, clap your hands, do it like we do, then fix a step to the left, listen and learn, dont misd the chance, now we are here with the carameldance”
i'm glad this isn't the actual scene. never gonna psychologically recover from this
Sat down and watched this 2 days ago. Can confirm that this is the most disturbing movie i willingly sat through and still somewhat enjoyed.
2 years ago this popped up on my feed and i watched it knowing nothing about Midsommar. fast forward to now, the fact that this video is the reason behind me discovering one of my all time favorite, yet most disturbing horror movies i've ever seen will never not be funny to me.
I'm really happy I contributed to this
@@pepericopique8187 your services will never go unappreciated 🤌🏻
The disco light effect on the face. The details is just so perfect 😂
i loved the amount of emotion put into her character.
I remember bawling my eyes out during some of the scenes from this movie in theaters...this movie was a good movie but , was very disturbing and amazing all at the same time
PARTY ROCKERS IN THE HOUSE TONIGHTTT
Yeah.... Not getting invited to a carameldansen rave is terrifying

You are NOT shit doing masks! Such a simple effect (not to mention the near-seamless sound mixing) and yet such a hilarious result. Good job buddy! I loved your Lighthouse video by the way.
This was such an incredible movie, but I've not been able to watch it again since.
Jesus Chri- the accuracy of this video, the song killed me😭😭😭
This is art. I'm weeping.
I watched this before I watched the real thing and I actually thought that’s what happened because of how real the editing made it ahahaha
That scene was already perfect before but Now its a masterclass in editing.
facts hehe
This scene just made me feel so violated. Thank you for rectifying it
This movie becomes more disturbing with each consecutive viewing. I've seen it 3 times and I can't wait to see it again. The music is fabulous.

bro when i heard the song i smiled so much
This movie was very disturbing for me and I still think about it from time to time.
I was very disgusted by those cult people and felt kinda sick after watching it.
It makes you feel bad.
But I would still recommend it because no other movie has ever achieved that for me.
Never seen the movie, so I've decided this is what happens.
I'm not sure what I was expecting, but that definitely wasn't it
The fact that my friend’s mom is in this makes it even better

This movie was perfectly made and disturbing at the same time to the point that I don't want to watch it again. It left me traumatized for a week!
Me too....but I watched it again like 6 months later....and it was easier
This was in my recommendations yesterday and it made me watch the movie. Can’t say I regret it but holy shit that was an experience.
I saw this at the movie theater and it was totally nuts
