  • Are old-school traditional roles and morals about sex bad for society and especially women? That seems to be the claim. One of the main thrusts of modern feminism is the justification for the sexual revolution. But we are going to review another claim being made about a different sexual revolution that took place well over 1000 years ago.

It was so annoying for my fiancée and I to explain to everyone that we do not live together and the amount of people that think we are crazy for waiting till we are married to move in. It helps motivate us to get married because we want to be together but we want to do things right. We want kids but after we are married and have a life together

I am getting married in August and it has been the same thing for my fiancée and I. We’re 2000 miles apart right now so living together would be kinda hard anyways. Lol But so many people ask why we’re getting married before we’ve lived together or slept together. It’s exhausting getting mocked for respecting your S/O and wanting to wait until marriage. But it’s so worth it and no one is going to shame me into disrespecting the Bible and my soon to be wife.

J.D. Unwin wrote a book entitled, "Sex and Culture" that explains how sexual values influenced cultures throughout history. He started researching the topic because he was a fan of Freud and wanted to prove Freud's hypothesis that society needs total sexual liberation in krder to function in the best way possible. However, as he looks into how the sexual morals and traditions changed within historical societies, he instead finds that the most monogamous cultures are thebmost productive and successful and that as monogamy becomes lost in a society, the society plummets. Its an awesome book if you're a nerd like me, haha!!

So I had a baby out of wedlock at 19 and shortly after came to Christ. A couple of years later I found my husband and we were both really really desiring to wait till marriage so we decided it would be best if we had a shorter engagement. People thought we were CRAZY that we only wanted to be engaged for 5 months. (Yes I’m aware it’s difficult to plan a wedding in that amount of time haha). But we then ended up being able to be together for the first time on our wedding night!!! :) it was such a redemptive experience for me and we were both so blessed for waiting.
Even if you have failed in this way before doesn’t mean God can’t redeem it. Please don’t believe the lie that you are just damaged goods, because if you turn to Christ and put your faith in Him then you have your identity in Him. Yes, it won’t be the same if you would’ve completely abstained, but it can still be very special and it’s so worth it.
Thanks Nick for this awesome discussion!!! I’m so thankful my marriage has been built on the Lord ♥️
The deconstruction of a monogamous relationship between a man and a woman under God is so so evil and creates more unnecessary pain and suffering in the long haul.

Tradition is not wrong. It may be wrong to insist that everyone conform 100% to ones perception of the roles, but at the end of the day Men are Men and Women are Women, and on average, they are good at, and will prefer different things. To deny that is what is truly sexist. Let the individual decide, and when you do it will inevitably lead to statistically different outcomes for men and women- and that's ok.

I just returned from two weeks in Rome. I teach animal training and two students brought to work with them in Rome with their birds. Of course i got to to a little sight seeing while there. I immediately noticed there were a lot more attractive women walking around. The main reason was a lack of overweight people in Rome. It is not that the women were prettier. They were just more physically fit, thus far more of them were significantly more attractive, noticeably so. When I returned to the USA I noticed in the airport going through passport customs lines a noticeable lack of fit women. It was a glaring difference that I have continued to observe in the days since. The typical lefty overweight blue haired run down looking women were just very uncommon in the area I was in.

Andrew Tate I’m pretty damn sure won’t be popular for long because one of the things I’ve learned in life is that when you have people who are so high in their ivory tower and so far up their own ass and they don’t practice what they preach they will fall, and they will fall hard Again, part of the reason Andrew Tate and the Tate brothers are so popular is because young men do not have good role models or masculine role models. The only masculine role models I can think of in reality is Jordan Peterson and that would be Nick Fretes I’m sorry if I miss pronounce your name, nick Van Bobby Schuller, along with who is the actor who plays Deadpool that’s basically all I got, but yeah win you’re in a situation like this when you’re looking for good role models, Andrew Tate is the young Roman soldier who is full of himself, while Jordan Peterson is the elder, and you got Nick, who I would say, is a confident and sympathetic Roman politician, toying with the idea of Christianity. I say that because Nick is one of the few people who is in a political position that has inspired me to get my ass out of bed and do some thing I don’t agree with all of his policies, but she is a huge upgrade to the status quo, which is people in power who are not exactly aware of the problems of your average American citizen he’s old enough to have years on them and he’s young enough to actually be living through the problems that are plaguing young men such as Gen X, millennials, and Genzie that’s not me just sucking up to him that’s me telling him the truth at least how I see it

I loved this and was spiritually Inspired by it. Thank you all for your work getting such truth out.
I must however point out some OTHER facts about the fall or Rome. It was in Three parts and the first was the fall or the Old gods and the creation of the Romen State, bring in the New Gods. Then the fall of those Gods and the Fall of the Romen Empire. Bring in God and the Holly Romen Empire and,,,, Here you Lost the Plot as many do. In every instant it was the Partition class slipping its secular collars by infiltrating and corrupting the Church, thus removing the Foundation of Morals and Ethics that bound them. The Church was NOT just along for the ride or sitting passively in the Vadakin on their hands. They were every bit the participants. The Church has been fractured attacked had Civil war and even was held hostage till it adopted reforms that would Finely remove its ability to wage war on those it deemed heretics. That foundation has time and again proven the adage that Institutions don't have your best interests at heart. We don't even know how many people's blood are on the hands of secular organizations but it puts the nazis to shame. This Fact is why people left the church in waves time and again or formed Other Churches to get away from the corruption in Rome. This Truth Must be recognized and acknowledged before it can be avoided again. Today's church is once again heading down that path but now it's been corrupted by a global Syndicate (Or Cubal if you will) of powerful business groups under WEF and CCP influence. Another way Must be found that curtails the overpowering of Secular reach and puts that in the hands of Communities and Ultimately Family. Wouldn't it be great if I had Proof,,, :) Judaism is based off Family first then Community with the Secular deriving its power from that. It's also LOT older than Rome and has been chugging along through all the turmoil and war. Yes it has perhaps had a few hiccups (Not fully versed in their full history) but compared to ANY of the alternatives they are relatively Bloodless and Schism free. Learning from that Is Vital to stop the next Dark ages from simply being an interlude to more of the same. Making Family the Bedrock of belief, Morals and Ethics with Community and its attending secular subgroup supporting those values. IMO
Still and all, God is not the one to blame for any of Humanities failures, we do just fine on that score without help from on high. Thus, it behooves us to remember anything touched by the hand GOD is perfection, The Church was built by Man. As such it is subject to the Imperfection of our own choosing. Want to do God proud, Do Better. Want to do that, learn from your mistakes today to be better tomorrow. Its ok to criticize the Church, it's NOT God, no matter how much They try to tell you it is.
Bless and be well and I pray for America and hope we can find our way through this murky time. 🙏

The more a society separates individuals from depending on their neighbors for their livelihoods, the less society has the external inputs that support shame and pride. This removes the appreciation and valuing of integrity. Such a society will immensely begin to degrade. Anything sexually questionable will start to become acceptable, accelerating the degeneracy and decay of the society. We are seeing the same occur today.

You can extract any mention of Christianity from the this conversation, and the way these 3, (no pun intended), fleshed out the reasons for reserving sex to the sanctity traditional western monogamous marriage just makes plain sense. I just got back from a trip to Rome. There were some really interesting things that were very different then the US culturally.
    1) The locals all seemed really, genuinely happy. Everyone was so friendly. Im just going to put it straight but all the pick pockets, scammers, etc were all foreigners.
    2) The men and women were a lot more traditional (the men look and act like men, the women look and act like women).
    3) The billboards and advertising / TV was a whole lot cleaner.
    4) Yet sexual promiscuity was definitely rampant and more hidden. Artwork on the street (local artists) were borderline pornographic. Corner shops had materials that were pornographic in nature for sale. Drug stores sold sex toys on end caps. None of that stuff would fly in the US
I'm not going to say it was better culturally. It wasn't. It was more hidden and prideful was my perception.

It gives those quick fix dopamine kicks which makes people feel as if they are happy for a short time period but, inevitably, is destructive to society in the long term. And the hedonistic behaviour needs to become more and more extreme to get those dopamine kicks. Looking back on history, this seems to have always created the final downfall of an empire.

Many of those other ideologies that are less known tend to agree with the main “tenets” of the religions around them. Like Buddhism and Shinto, strongly agree and can coexist semi peacefully in modern society.
If you notice many of the religions are a do or die, conversion at the end of a sword instead of personal choice to walk away peacefully.

Weinstein was abusing women prior to the overall adoption, when sex was propotated to be sacred. Additionally, I'd argure that men asserted that sex was transactional and women began to fall in line in hopes of gaining a mate whether he be good, bad or otherwise.

As a note, the idea that Rome was invulnerable is not exactly true. Even under Augustus, Rome suffered defeats. Teutoborg Forest happened during Pax Romana. Prior to that, the Romans were defeated by the Parthians, and Julius, before his assassination, was about to head in that direction to fight them head on. It’s a wonder what would’ve happened had he met them in open battle. But yeah, the Romans did “fall” because of outside invaders, and in our case, I’m not sure if that same fate would happen. I think we’ll probably splinter into different factions and they will vie for power, as the rest of the world adjusts to a multipolar system of power.

Simply put tolerance became acceptance with caveat, acceptance became antipathy, antipathy became societal abdication to the responsibility of maintain what is tolerated. How did this begin? Well in the 50s, 60s, and 70s our grandparents decided that a 40/5 work week could be "extended" to a 48/6 and in those days, alot could use the extra pay, 3 kids arent cheap. Then MOM decided she needed part-time work for things like braces and cheerleading. So she went into home sales while dad got off his semi and into a chopper (better pay) meanwhile no one was watching or teaching their kids the right ways, dad was in okinawa lifting glass for a new highrise and mom just got called in, a big fish with a fat commission just walked in asking for her personally! (Never bought the house). While a growing contingent of deviants became surrogates in schools, as nannies, as older friends not ready for the burden of teaching others (or any burden). Then when their daughter failed to keep her kids safe, now grandma "did what needed doin" still working a now full time real estate sales rep and grandpa...... he was flying in the movies making BANK (which he never saw, but thats showbiz kids). Now of their 7 grandkids 3 turned out right and only 4 of them really knew them growing up. So it was sloth, pride, and greed that made the USA citizens a pack of sexual deviants, but would we still be in power on the world stage if they didnt do it?

I am not an absolutionist when discussing any sin... which in archery means missing the mark... if one misses the mark and cheats in a marriage or steals, whatever... I do not believe saying 100 hail Mary's and dismal of it by another makes one absolved of one's sin. I do not believe saying sorry every time one keeps making the same mistake... or missing the is mark... absolves an individual. Saying sorry for the same bad behavior over and over is not being sorry. This allows for making up excuses for one's continued behavior of poor, disrespectful choices... the devil made me do it, she doesn't give me enough attention, he doesn't, God hates me... blah, blah, blah, blah. I believe true absolution is to choose to stop the behaviors altogether and not have to say you're sorry for disrespecting another, yourself, and God. Accountability for one's choices and acceptance of consequences that always
follow in one form or another is what absolution actually means.
Two wrongs never make a right. Abusing another without provocation, causation, in any manner is bad; sexually abusing another for one's own self-service is beyond abhorrent. It seems the metamorphosis of human behaviors from biblical times to current times has not changed much at all. The struggle to invoke our higher angels will always be no matter. I have always analyzed and reanalyzed the words from the Lord's Prayer:
Our father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on Earth AS it is in Heaven.
I have thought about these words over and over and have come to realize the meaning as I understand it and as I realized the power of them, the simplicity of them, and the difficulty of them... I realized there are those who never will, and metamorphosis will be a constant dance of two steps forward and two steps back.

Nick, I am SURE that Bible study is part of your life, but MOST people do not understand the relationship between marriage and sex. When Abraham sent his servant to get a wife for Isaac, he came back with Rebekah. When Isaac saw Rebekah, he "took her into his mother's tent, and they WERE MARRIED."! There are MANY references to marriage being sex, in the Bible, but that is a pill that no Christian wants to swallow. When a carpenter needs to repair/support a joist or rafter, or something of that sort, they take another, of the same thing, and "MARRY" them together. This makes the original STRONGER. In the beginning, "God MADE THEM ONE.". This is what a carpenter does. EVEN IN RAPE, a man HAS to take the woman as his 'wife'(his own). He has to pay the Bride Price, and SHE IS HIS! There are many more, but the point is, if you TEACH young people, that the VERY FIRST person that they HAVE SEX with, BECOMES THEIR SPOUSE, maybe they will make better decisions. ONLY VIRGINS and WIDOWS get this provision. If the girl IS NOT a virgin or widow, they are a harlot, or, at best, a concubine. Concubines typically had wealth, whereas harlots did not.
Keep up the good work, guys.
    Godspeed.

Women in Ancient Greece were EXTREMELY closeted in society. Yes, in some Eastern societies women seemed to have more autonomy, but how much of that was propaganda by the Romans to vilify women acting out of line?
People like to point to Paul about telling women how to behave in the church; what they miss is that Paul was telling women to adhere to ROMAN CULTURAL STANDARDS so that the Romans would not look down on them, but see them as respectable - and therefore, see the church as respectable rather than another ‘mystery cult’ where the women are allowed to run havoc over the men.

    • @Not_a_witch
      @Not_a_witch 4 месяца назад

That’s not true, Paul did not care about what Roman’s thought of them. The rules of women being quiet in church and not preaching still apply no matter the culture. No where in the Bible does it say or even imply it is purely cultural. This is an argument invented by feminist to pervert the church. Christianity is a patriarchal religion.

    • @Uwanasora
      @Uwanasora 2 месяца назад

Do you think it would be possible to maintain the current norms around women in a preindustrialized society? If your answer to that is ‘yes’, then all of history disagrees with you. Modern conveniences invented by men have afforded women a certain level of comfort and have ‘liberated’ them from household necessities. And this along with the pill have allowed women a spectrum of choice greater than could be afforded in any other period of time. This is why women have the freedoms they have today. Paul’s advice is not merely cultural, but also prescriptive for church procedure. Acting in a disruptive manner is wrong in any sense because it bespeaks disunity which is not of the spirit. Women were given a specific role by God: To be a helpmeet. Failure to meet the role leads to many problems, and what Paul was pointing out was one example of this.

When the Bible talks about how the Roman empire will return or alludes to that Babylon will become like the Roman empire. I can start to see the obsession with Rome as much as it annoys me, but it also terrifies me because I do see this happening someone once said, I think it was the Bible project or maybe it was someone else that Rome and the Roman gods were the pinnacle of the worst parts of humanity during Jesus time like all of our worst parts are lost or pride or arrogance gluttony the seven deadly sins we’re out there highest and they were even glorified at that time how people would eat and then throw up so they could eat some more. how are you could literally have sex with anyone given your status and not only that but one of the reasons why Christianity was a threat to the Roman empire was because the gods they worshiped were one of the pillars to their society at that time, and here comes Christianity spitting in the face of what kept the Roman empire glued together at that point says this is evil I am here to set you free for I am the light I am the alpha and the omega. I can see why won’t the Bible talks about the end times how one of the things that will happen is Babylon will be like Rome, and the funny thing is even if you remove Christianity from this for a moment, you’re starting to see a lot of that stuff from revelations come, true, plague, famine, wars all I can say, is that while there have been Babylon’s or day of the Lords in the past it is said that there will be a final day of the lord, and I don’t believe that just on a religious or spiritual level I believe it because we are running out of nations. We are running out of land to explore. We have the stars but unless if we colonize a planet, we have nowhere to go. It seems that Babylon can either happen one or two ways. It’s either America or it’s the nation that comes from the fall of America where Canada weather voluntary or involuntary really joins America along with Mexico, but at that point we would’ve had to have a dictator or a Cesar like ruler, who realize that in order to save the country, we needed to conquer some nations but again I am a Christian. I’ve took in my relationship seriously since 2016 of all things and yes it was the election that made me realize I needed God in my life not because of who won but because of how people acted one said person one and everything

If you are going to use the Bible to say polygamy isn’t allowed I am going to need a reference.
    Matthew 25:1-13
Are you telling me monogamy is the only God intended design but the first book of the New Testament likens heaven unto a sinful marriage?
Leviticus 18 is dedicated to sexual immorality and it doesn’t list poly as a problem. The only mention is 17 and 18 where it says you can’t have a woman and her daughter/granddaughter because related, and the same for her sister.
Exodus 21:10 gives the condition for taking another wife after marrying a servant. Namely you can’t diminish her food, clothing, or marital rights.
So we have laws for how to do polygamy properly, we have laws against marrying relatives, and we have Jesus himself likening Heaven unto 10 virgins marrying the same person (only 5 do, the others are foolish.). ((Yes I get it is a parable about being ready for the second coming))
So if you are going to refute that, I need a source saying it is wrong. Not implying it is a bad idea, not implying that only 2 are supposed to become one because Jesus used Adam and Eve to show that divorce isn’t allowed. A prohibition on poly. One instance where God or Jesus condemned it. Or one instance where the Bible said the only holy union is a monogamous one. If it is so important I assume it is clearly stated somewhere.

And WE, who call ourselves “Christians” have now to live by the Beatitudes! If we are to be “perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect”. How? Well, we have been given Grace, through the Sacraments.
