These add-ons are great for a beginner and professional to use. I have been having trouble modelling more complex shapes so I am sure these will help out. Thanks
You forgot to mention Quad Remesher. It's a remesher add-on which is made by the same guy who create ZRemesher for ZBrush. It's one of ZBrush's most desired features, so having it directly in Blender is quite nice.
@@psychoboitrip3125, I've never had Zremesher fail and I've retopologized too realistic stylized beards! What was the shape that it failed on for example? Now I want to test them side by side...
It should be mentioned that if you're trying to retopo a mesh for "final" output, then Instant Meshes is not a good solution. There are much better ways to get decent looking meshes out there if you refuse to do it by hand. Retopo by hand is still the best way to get a final mesh though. The reason is that instant meshes are still not good for animation or deformation. Edge loops are terminated in strange ways, and there's only a limited means of controlling this in the software.
it's still super useful for certain meshes. things that don't need rigging and meshes that have small amounts of detail. or meshes that will only be used as renders, rather than needing subdivision or other modifiers. just dont expect it to behave when it comes to making character meshes or things that will be deformed.
Modeling vs programming which is harder? I go with modeling,at least I learned c# and java pretty well, but blender is giving me headaches this addons would come in handy.
Some of them are doing the similar work, like the "advanced Boolean tools" & "Bool Tool", "instant meshes remesh" & "DynRemesher" , why not pick the better one to introduce?
I have proven great add-ons (hops) doesn't help if you suck. I tried to make a Mando helmet and I couldn't figure out how to make the side cuts because it was both: not a box and at an angle, not orthogonal to the front... I asked 3 ytubers for a tutorial on it and to my surprise MasterXeon responded and showed me an example in a blend file. He said it was too hot for ytube... It was so low poly and so well done (it's been 2 days and I still don't understand how he did it.) I've been sleeping most of the day because so far I still don't understand how he did it. Today is the 3rd day, and I'm gonna take a nap right now. I know someday I'll figure it out, but holy cow I'm not taking this well...
15_building tool This add-on is interesting because it makes it possible to create nice buildings or houses really fast by adding procedurally some of the most building blocks for building like floors, Windows, Railing, Doors, Balconies, and Roofs. This is buggy gives errors. And doesn't work properly in 2.81.
Loop Tool, Bool Tool and Archipack can be found under Add-ons within Blender preferences. As for the others I found some on www.blendermarket.com/ and they cost money.
So I guess since there are "advanced Boolean tools" and "bool tool" in the video, they kinda do the same things (boolean operations), which one to use? Guessing "advanced" one since it says advanced? lol Didn't know there are auto retopology addons for Blender that would make life of a 3D designer soooo much easier after he finishes sculpting, did anyone actually tried using it on a sculpted characted and how are the results?
Blender doesn’t have a clip brush like in zbrush? I still can’t believe it’s able to do everything and there’s no clip brush? No love for sculptors.I still love you blender 🥰
I started using Blender some time ago and stopped when I saw that precision is not one of its stronger sides, since I use it for architecture. Has there been any development on that front?
You can work precise with blender if you know the workflow. Maybe have a look into the channel Tutor4U. He has a video which is really good to learn that. Addons like MeasureIt, Archipack and Archimesh also help.
Different ones. he shows parts of the videos from the developers or other channels, so i guess it ranges from 2.80 to 2.82.I don't use the building tools or the three remeshers (no 15, 14, 11 and 7), the other addons work fine in 2.81 and 2.82, apart from retopoflow, which is a bit buggy atm, but they didn't release the final version yet, Jon is still working on it.
