How do you get the longer time + extra octave? Is it a paid subscription? I love making chrome lab stuff in my free time but mine has 3 octaves and runs for 30-ish seconds

Like any other people out there, some people use inspect element to cheat the website. You could search for how to do this in RUclips!
There is no such thing as paid subscription for any composing sites Chrome Music Labs has. But if you want to have settings like this, go to the song maker settings, right click anywhere and find "Settings Modal", delete it and you should be able to set your settings to a cheating version!
If you can't do that, here's a free link for 8 octaves.
