So you may see it constructed with the various components in different quadrants. Below are the values for each variables : 1) there is a positive relationship between salary and employee retention. Beta Value : -.0379 and Pearson Correlation value : -0.289 2) there is a positive relationship between communication and employee retention. Beta Value: -0.159 and Pearson Correlation: 0.110 3) there is a no positive relationship between job satisfaction and employee retention. Beta Value: -0.115 and Pearson Correlation: -0.136
For anyone who may struggle with remembering what the null hypothesis is (generally speaking), it may help to think about what the word null actually means :)
