Had white DK2m back in the day with JB/Jazz pickups. Wish I still had it. One of the best guitars out there.
Its been a workhorse of mine since it was new! Been on countless albums and played tons of live shows.
one of the best guitars out there!
Kickass, looking at one right now, thanks for the review.

Nah, that's a JT580LP...the only down side to most 2000's MIJ models.
They started using the 1000 Series on some models in 2006, though.
Thanks for the clarification! Got to say, I never had any troubles with the bridge even when divebombing. Solid as a rock.
i have experienced better longevity and overall performance and less issues with my many jt580lp than any of my genuine floyds, my genuine floyds are good though
i have never seen a 2000s mij with floyd 1000 stock, i have 11 mij 2000s jackson
Like I said, starting in '06 models began switching from the 580 to the 1000 series. The SL3 was probably the first. @@tankdarla637
I have one from 2007. I think the one I have was initilaliy sold in Europe or maybe Asia. The North American models had a Jackson branded JT-580lp bridge (made by Takeuchi Japan) but the Asian models (as far as I can tell, and perhaps the European models) had the TRS Pro (Made by Takeuchi Japan). They are identical except for the way the arm attaches to the base plate. The JT-580lp has the threaded collar like a Floyd Rose, while the TRS PRO arm is threaded into a nut bolted onto the plate. As far as Jackson bridges go only the JT-590 (Schaller Floyd Rose) is better (maybe the very old JT-6 as well). I put a Schaller made Floyd Rose (Branded Schaller not Jackson) on mine because I had one. Licensed Floyd Roses are a complicated mess 🍻
i prefer jt580lp over all fr type trems, maybe because i am just more familiar with them
Respect Criss Oliva :)
I can't wait to get mine! I am waiting for it to come in the mail hahaha and this review made me more excited for it! Great Vid bro!🤘
i have a mint 2008 red dk2m, great guitar
I have an Erie Des swirl 2008 model and at the time it was about 400 pounds plus 60 pound for the swirl paint job a great price in 08 dread to see what it would cost today and it's probably made in Mexico or something.
My DK2M was with factory defect. It had very heavy neck and very light body. So guitar was unbalanced :(
what I understood: it's a white guitar (you may have noticed, but I don't know anything about guitars) :)
WHITE GUITAR DO NEEEEOOOOOOOWWW
That’s an awesome guitar
Yeah, I really regret getting rid of this!
@@Metallex 😞
@@thenovicenoisemaker Yeah! To be fair the idea was to buy it and flip it, which I did. However, it's worth a lot more than it was 18 months ago. Lovely guitar, but I don't really like Jackson necks all that much. Still doesn't stop the regret sometimes! XD
@@Metallex Ahh one that got away. Out of the 105 guitars I've had I think there are half a dozen I wish I still had
@@Metallex I have the same guitar. Mine is an 08 made in Japan. I bought a Jackson Hardshell case for it. I have it on CL for 375$.
Not moving at all.
I love it, but I have to get rid of my stuff.
which is better, jackson dk2m japan better or the ibanez rg 570?
Two very different guitars in the 'modern' range. I would say it comes down to personal preference with the neck and pickups. I love the super thin Wizard necks on the Ibanez, but the SDs in the Jackson are great. I personally prefer the Jackson models, as a rule.
Better is entirely subjective. I'd say go to a guitar store (safely!) and give them a try!
To be honest, my jackson dk2m blows away my ibanez prestige rg1570 and rg570.
up to you, i prefer jackson over all makes
dont quote me on this but arnt the new ones made in indonesia,,
That's correct! The equivalent priced DK2M are made in Indonesia now, although there is a 2021 Japanese range which is VERY expensive!
I'm thinking about buying the new one, is it as good as this one? since it's made in Indonesia?
@@yunesbb I've had an Indo model as well. It's not *quite* as good personally as I prefer the neck on the Japanese one. But still a storming guitar.
