- Google Zeitgeist is a collection of talks by people who are changing the world. Hear entrepreneurs, CEOs, storytellers, scientists, and dreamers share their visions of how we can shape tomorrow.
The future is very bright.
Very good and authentic speech.
ive said it time and time again, if you own youtube, there is no reason such intelligent and uplifting talks should not be on the front page...i think the things that are trending are doing so due to a lack of quality content anyone can get behind. we are being directed into what the lowest common denominator finds entertaining or sensational enough to merit attention. please fix this.
I totally understand the comment since I've had the same thoughts. To curate content in a hamfisted way to influence someone, is to play with political disaster for a company like Alphabet. I definitely think that they could make a lot of progress with how we discover new content by focusing and expanding on the work of some of their researchers who last year published a paper on grading the factual accuracy of websites.. See: arxiv.org/pdf/1502.03519v1.pdf If algorithms can be used to at least increase the bare accuracy of our searches and feeds, I think they could make progress we are all looking for, while still respecting our individual opinion and agency, and not our unfounded biases. If they've shelved this research, they should definitely dust it off, or at least find someone to work on it.
Fix what ? may I ask ?
anubisswift dude i feel you but the average RUclips consument is 12 years old.. so the average content is for 12 year olds, its that simple
Very inspiring!
well done.
I totally agree with what he says about using technology regardless of regulations. However, to argue that globalisation has raised incomes is patently false, it's led to off-shoring and lower quality care for consumers. Also I wouldn't eat fake meat, literally straight out of 1984: "looks like meat, tastes like meat..but it isn't meat is it?". The caveat of his slightly Orwellian speech is that a lot of good comes out of what he says, specifically with the health screening and self-driving cars.
"Eric Schmidt - The Future Of The Way We Live, Love And Work"
So where's the part about love? Obviously, he doesn't have to say much about love...
It's all about control and money!
Hiding the homelife....
