This is it. The Reedsport OR. 13th annual Chain Saw Carving Competition.

Every year in the heart of Timber Country on the Oregon Coast the biggest chain saw carving competition show in the world takes place in Reedsport Oregon in mid June. The show above draws carvers from all across the country and even some from other countries. Note the bigger pieces being carved. They won't be done for two more days. Note how many chain saws some of these carvers have. 10 to 15 is not an unusual number of saws for a carver to use. The carvers say it is really simple. For example; Lets say you want to carve a 4 person bench with a salmon on one end and a bear on the other. You just get a 4 or 5 ft. diameter 10 foot long 2 ton cedar log and carve out everything that is not bench, salmon or bear.

Thanks for your concern. Yep- still alive, Have not uploaded any guitar stuff in over a year but I think I will before long. I really enjoyed doing it. -Art
