Love the feedback. I'm now on my 3rd 911 and never had issues with the motors... so maybe I've just been lucky. I do LOVE the sound of subaru's, but maybe I'm asking for pain in the future?! Who knows :)
Just build the Subaru engine closed deck and it’s fine. Stock they are open but most people waste their money and rebuild without closing the deck blocks
2000-2006 Silverado standard cab with the V8. LS already installed ready for turbo (s). Tons of aftermarket support and they can handle. It's different and can be a real sleeper.
for anyone wondering you can find blown frs/brz for 3-6 grand and easily ls swap for 1-2 grand totaling 8-9 still cheaper than say 15 grand for the slow boxer flat 4s that are known for being impossible to hit 400+ whp without blowing up.
I say go for the 86. It's probably got the most versatility to mod it however you want for whatever purposes that you want the car to do. Drift, check. Autocross, check. Daily, check. Drag would probably be the least applicable, but hey... rebuilt engine, forged internals and 26 lbs of boost can do any car wonders.

I drive a 1965 Chrysler Valiant AP6 and my tyres cost $400 for 4. My car also costs over $40,000 and goes up in value yearly. Still this BMW is just a really great car for a first car. It’s got a sun roof and it runs great. I have to get some plastic pieces around the front and back windscreens fixed as the back one has come off and I had to just put it back in place but it must be fixed so it doesn’t leak and end up rusting out some part of the car. It’s red as well and my baby loves it so much.

Instead of m3, go with the 328is instead, same transmission, same engine with a smaller bore (Only in the US), and no dealing with the bad valve springs the s52's have
@@aviram2441 I believe m3's have bigger brakes, thicker sway bars, different sway bar endlinks, and an LSD. That being said, all of these can be swapped into a 328 easily and cheap. Also, because the m3 bolts the sway bar endlinks to the strut and not the body like on the 328, there is a limit on how thick of a sway bar you can run on the m3.
