What makes Jamaica special? 🤔 Everything! People, weather, food, mountains, beaches, sand, sun, sea, rivers, animals, trees, insects, music, dance, the list goes on. Jamaica is a Paradise. ✨

I’m not trying to argue that, but my question is: then why do Jamaicans LEAVE Jamaica? My husband is Jamaican and he can’t answer that except to say there is no work, no work means no excess money. (He likes big houses, fine cars, etc., but I would be happy growing my own food and living off the land which can be done there) so I ask you with respect: why do so many Jamaicans come to America if it is so wonderful there in Jamaica?

Culture, tradition, morals, humility, family, love, kindness, fun. This was what Jamaica was built on, we need it back, not want but need.

Anasai is 'spider' in Asante speaking parts of Ghana west Africa, Anasai is said to be a clever man not necessarily a bad man but using his wits to survive, there is always a lesson to his stories. I think us as Jamaican if possible should actively research some of the tales we were told as a child, you will be positively surprised at the results. Even here on youtube just type in Anasai.

I'm from England 🇬🇧 and when my lad was a kid I used to make up anansi stories for him every night as I grew up in a Jamaican community and had heard them myself, the people used to say 'brare anansi' 🤷🏼‍♂️ I don't know why? I imagine brare means brother 🤷🏼‍♂️. These kind of ladies are literally the salt of the earth lovely to hear them 😎😎❤❤🔥🔥

I like when both ladies described the practice when someone past away, by people bring things like food to care for the grieving family and materials to help bury the dead. The typical funeral in my experience in Jamaica has so many cost beyond the actual burial and that can be such a burden to do and plan. I like the celebration aspect of it, but minus all the added expenses.
