Top work! There's certainly a sweet spot in the ratio between diameter and wall thickness. Thin walled larger diameter is really tricky to bend with this method as you found out!
I don't know how I missed this series way back then, but,,, THIS WAS GREAT!!! Now,,,, how about making a real monster for bending 2" x 4" rectangular for car frames????? Build that and you have just created an entire new business for yourself..
Been building roll cages and bending tube for 25+ yrs, that is one over built unit forsure! Not sure how I stumbled across this channel, but Holy hell are your videos full of knowledge & humor. My favorite RUclips channel sofar!
A little tip I do when drilling something out like you did with the hand drill. Grind the drill with a negative or neutral rake like for brass. Doesn’t drill great in steel but won’t dig in. Obviously resharpen it after 😜
Another amazing video. Bending thin wall tubing is such a nightmare, I am surprised at how well it handled it. I bet if you continued to work on the bullet size/location you could get that dialed in, but I'm sure the trial and error would take forever, and you'd still end up with thin wall tubing with not a lot of uses. I am curious how it bends .120 wall with no bullet. I would imagine it would be a clean looking bend with minimal deflection, but who knows. I would love to have something like this for bending .080-.100 wall tubing for projects that don't require roll cage specs. Keep up the good work my friend!
Hey Austin, to answer your question about .120 without bullet, well I did the test on the video built at 14:00 and we can clearly see a difference (without it's flattened). So I thing that the thicker the side wall is, lesser you really need a bullet, but since I'm getting good results with it, I'm always using it! BTW, it seems that the algorythm is no working for the both of us since a couple of vids! 😭 Don't know what I'm doing wrong (except not releasing a lot of vids)..but ya it s*cks! Oh well talk to you soon-issh my friend!
Very good stuff. Currently trying to figure a way to build a bender for 1 5/8" (10 gauge wall) tube. That's the size of locally available chain link fence posts that I'm hoping to use to bend bicycle frames. One question - I see you use a rolling wiper die rather than a solid bar type. Any particular reason for this? Seems to me the bar type might have some advantages to help maintain pipe shape. Subscribed. Thanks!
Bending 5 mil to 90 ain’t no joke. Viny your channel is one of the best in its genre. I think it’s a crime the Algorythm hasn’t boosted you to your rightful place of 1 mil subs.
Rather than plans for the entire bender offer plans for EACH COMPONENT of that bender and include a ream of disclaimers for liability without referring to ANY ONE of them as components for a tubing bender.
Good call, but the jack is not symmetrical and everything is shifted to one side (die, lower roller, bullet attachment etc). If I flipped the jack 180°, I'll need to switch everything to the other side, which was a lot of work, I wish I could send you a picture of it! But again, good thinking! 👍
Hey, if you use 0,195 wall the cage will wiy , as mutch wigth you have taken of 😁.... but you dont have to be afraid of rolling the Buza! You know that i like you and your canal, Viny! But if you are getting into racing, will you have time with RUclips any mote- exept on the of seison- if you not do ice racing, to?
I made jd2 replica bender with 100mm clr die I bended 33.7mm od 2mm thick wall tube about 100° results are tube get flattened out side and on inner side wrinkles are formed how to i fix this issue can try bullet attachment ?
If you're devoting every single second of your spare time to produce videos as fast as humanly possible, why does it take two months to get a new video? 🤣 Great content and keep up the good work. The build videos are my favorite. I appreciate what you do and all the effort that goes into it.
thanks man! Yeah, I spend a lot of time building stuff and then edit the vids so it's a long process and I took maybe 2 weeks off of editing, so my wife can love me again 😅 Glad you enjoyed the content! 👍
Hey Viny , I need your help again , I made a mistake when I purchased my external gearbox which gave me reverse , it was meant for off road use only , so I ran into the same problem you had without a differential one of the wheels was binding when making a turn and I thought of you , so I met this retired machinist and he's helping with my rear end problem ! we're using a Miata diff and stub axles , and he's making a casing for it and a cradle so I can mount it ! I told him about your reverse setup he's picking up a 9 inch ring gear but he's wondering what controls the speed of the starter ? I told him when you push the reverse button it backed you up slow in the video, he was thinking that with a starter motor it might be too fast when it engages , do you have a resonator on yours , or what starter do I need to make this work !! Thank You Mr. B
Hey Alan! Oh boy! The reverse is the worst part of the build. First, I double checked it and my gear is an 11.5'' in DIA and I don't have much power on the reverse. So your 9'' is maybe not enough 🤷♂Maybe my starter motor is a really bad quality (brand new on amazon for a V8) and is not that powerfull, but don't even think about baking up through a slight little hill. Ain't gonna make it! My car is about 1800lbs with me in it, so if you're half that weight, maybe it will work, but don't worry, you ain't gonna fly off in reverse! If you want my dxf file of the gear I design and laser cutted, hit me at my email, design57@outlook.com Also, the reverse is waaaaaaaaaay easier on the starter motor once you have add the diff...
Mate , I'll be your friend if you need one , I'm only the other side of the world from you but that 's OK I'll still be their for you 😁😎 Your new best friend Spider ( Don't tell your wife )
Bending 5mm wall past 90* is mega difficult so 👏👏👏 on that, great production too 👍
Thanks man!! I was convince I couldn t bent it! 😯
@@VinyB57 seems to like bigger the better !!! 😂maybe not 5mm all the time , I mean what you planning on hitting ? And at what speed ??? 🤔😂👍

I just love the "Wrist Killer" part...crisse d'ostie d'cochonnerie!!!! I seriously laughed out loud. Trop bon Viny, trop bon! 🙂
Thanks Sylvain!
LMAO I loved the "Now You Know" throwback montages! You always keep your videos interesting and funny. Keep up the great work Viny!
Thanks Anthony 👍
I loved the whispered reference!!! Hilarious!
Very interesting and glad the bender didn't break!!
Thanks! 😬
I understand the chimp excitement sounds when something works so well.

Viny - your videos are awesome. U are a lot funnier and wittier than late night talk show hosts and u build cool stuff. Yr videos are good stuff!
I appreciate that!
That is a serious test ...welds included
Good job 👍 as always
Thanks Bryan! I really trust my welds...it hasn't always been the case...🤷♂️
Keep at The you tube and your work. You are very entertaining and your work is great!
Thanks, will do!
More people should be watching the crazy stuff that u do. Cool and funny as hell.
Thanks Tom!
J’adore l’humour dans tes vidéos! Continue comme ça
Merci F150!
I had a Milwaukee magnum wrist killer less handle and I also thanked goodness every time it spared my wrist to drill another day...
🤣🤣🤣..to drill another day...good one 👍

But damage would had made better footage 😅 But yeah, Om glad too! 😁
Hey Viny , What a great tube bender !
Thanks Alan, yeah it turned out great
Very impressive!
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome build.
You remind me of some crazy Soldiers I served with. Great show.

I see what you did there...😉

As tu deja vu le "hossfeld bender"? Tres versatile. Je m'en suis fait un. Pas trop complique.
Salut Dan, oui j'ai déjà vu ce bender, j'aimais moins son ''layout'' et un de mes chums s'en ai fait un, ca semble assez simple comme design! 👍
Try adding a second lower roller to ease pressure on follow bar
Bending 5 mil to 90 ain’t no joke. Viny your channel is one of the best in its genre. I think it’s a crime the Algorythm hasn’t boosted you to your rightful place of 1 mil subs.
Thanks Tj, I won t lie, kinda hard keeping the motivation when you put all you ve got and the algorythm doesn t push it a little! 😭

maybe 🤷♂️😅
Rather than plans for the entire bender offer plans for EACH COMPONENT of that bender and include a ream of disclaimers for liability without referring to ANY ONE of them as components for a tubing bender.
That s an eloborate plan my friend 😏
Hey what modeling software do you use. ? Good design
Solidworks!
Wait, why did you not turn the pneumatic Jack 180° around so the air to hydrolic pump was on the outside rather than the inside of the bender?
Good call, but the jack is not symmetrical and everything is shifted to one side (die, lower roller, bullet attachment etc). If I flipped the jack 180°, I'll need to switch everything to the other side, which was a lot of work, I wish I could send you a picture of it! But again, good thinking! 👍

Если труба тонкостенная, то надо внутрь засыпать мелкий сухой песок. И с торцов ставить заглушки плотно. Тогда мять не будет.
