- This week I tick off a bucket list trip, as I head to QLD for a ride on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, but not without making a full day of it, taking the Skyrail and of course exploring Kuranda itself.

A good day out for sure. The wife and I did this trip albeit the other way around (Train then Skyrail). Fortunately we did it off peek and there were no massive ques to worry about.

Can also recommend the Savannahlander, a multi-day rail motor tour that travels from Cairns out to Forsayth.
Yes, this has also been on my bucket list. I didn’t have time or money this time though, I’ll have to come back haha. Also part of the track is out, so you have to be bussed, so I’d like to wait until that’s fixed.

A few years back I went to Cairns. At Christmas time. Did the Skyrail with no queues, had a nice look at Kuranda, but it had been pouring for days so the train was cancelled, I had to take a bus back (arggh😉) Hence the lesson, DO NOT do this in wet season.
I'm pretty sure Crocadiles would find it pretty difficult climbing up the Barren Falls.
@@frodosadventures8757 don’t think they climb up the falls 🤣 there are definitely crocodiles up there though, there is a crocodile tour that leaves from the dock up there.
