Confused if we watched the same game but Ohio State was not 3-4 TD's better than Texas. Both teams made mistakes and Ohio State was able to make the plays when they needed to. This was always going to be a one score game between two good teams. It ended up being 14 on a great defense play (and luck as that ball could have bounced anywhere). Side note, with all this money NCAA needs to figure out their refs, way too many blown calls on both sides. It is bad for the sport when you have obvious missed calls that announcers are talking about before even a replay.

Absolutely bailed that defense out with that ridiculous play call. Run it up the gut with Gibson or put in Arch and make them stop you 4 times and if they do so tip of the hat to them cannot toss the ball 3-4 yards behind the LOS. The point is not to give the little guy a chance the point is to put the top teams from a season into a tournament and let the games determine the best team in the country. That’s the whole point. So if a “little guy” is the best team they’ll have to beat 4 teams to prove it. It’s not about giving more teams a chance, it’s about determining the best team.
You know what I’m not hearing right now? I’m not hearing a single person complaining that their team should be in the national championship game. We have waited 100 years for that silence.

The SEC the last 2 years is NOT the SEC of pre-NIL. People were right to say you didn't want to play in the SEC back then bc they had a monopoly on the talent. NIL changed that and people just haven't talked about it. The SEC lost a TON OF PLAYERS in the first NIL year. This year was even worse. All these teams outside the SEC that Bama and Georgia demolished every year didn't just magically get better. NIL gave them better players and NIL took away hundreds of players in the portal. It surprises me that ESPN hasn't did a big show on it yet. When they do, it's mind blowing how many players left the SEC when NIL became a thing.
