    So wait a minute. I'm from NW FL. I've never seen a buck that big in FL. Not to mention SEVERAL giants together in a field in broad daylight.
    Is this a high fence deer ranch? If so...cool. If these are free range deer...you have the honey hole of all honey holes in the entire state of FL.

      Bro in north east Florida, in duval county alone you have about 4 stage forest and hunting management areas. Especially Cary and Jennings, you definitely see buck that big. One spot in middle burg is black creek and the bucks are massive

    What a buck man! I've lived in Florida my whole life and that's the best buck I've seen, great hunt. Love the praise to God also, it really is his bounty that we enjoy. My friends and I are gearing up and getting our reps in for season this year, I sent this to all of them to get them hyped. God bless you and your family bud, thanks for sharing the adventure. We're down in the Punta Gorda area, if you have any tips about hunting deer send them my way. There's always something new to learn with hunting

    Congrats! That is a sweet buck for Florida, I once made a "bad" shot on a buck that I have no clue what I did wrong but the shot was WAY too far forward and hit him straight through the neck right about where your exit hole was and saw blood going everywhere and he ran about 35-40 yards and piled up. When I skinned him I checked and I didn't hit any bone at all, the broadhead just literally cut his main arteries and his windpipe.

    • @josephcook6430
      @josephcook6430 10 месяцев назад

      Probably bcuzz 90 percent of dog hunters shoot anything that's legal, and there's nothing wrong with that if you're eating the meat. Having said that you need to have 2 things to kill a big buck in "most"parts of Florida, age structure, and good genetics. I live in Lake city Fl and i killed an 8 point that was 185 pounds, 20 inch inside spread, and scored 128 7/8. He was a 4 1/2 year old. You also need good neighboring hunters that let 2 year old basket rack 8 points walk to reach maturity. I mean even if a 2 year old 8 point has amazing genetics he can't pass them on unless he lives long enough to breed your doe's. That's just something ya might wanna ponder and talk to your dog hunting buddies about. Good luck this coming hunting season budd.

Cause I thought I saw one or two others that were just as good (and one was still in velvet). What county? You say North Florida but you said you began hunting him in August? That doesn't add up. For a nice a rack as that deer had, it was only 3 1/2 years old. You robbed yourself, or another hunter, out of a probable record book buck by not allowing the deer to reach it's full potential at 5 1/2 years.
