I had a cardiac ablation a couple of years ago. Due to several surgeries in my past and lots of scar tissue, they cut open my chest. I was in the hospital for 7 days! I have a loop monitor in my lower left breast. But considering it all its been worth it. No more AFIB so far. I can live with that!
Mine is tomorrow, what fun!
mine went good. they say it fixes the problem. the only way for me to know is that no more episodes occur I guess. procedure was quick and had good team working on me, was awake (talked to each other during) and didn't feel a thing. as soon as they were in they triggered the node that races....it was controlled environment I guess you could say.
mine 2nd one is jan.19th , hope they get it this time and just don't wing it like the first time
mine is this Monday. AVNRT

Had My PVC Ablation today.. It went well and was a easy procedure. I was wake when they induced me to have the PVC/SVT systems. They mapped them and then put me to sleep. Just hope it all works out
