    That s incredible... all youtubers trying hard to simply replicate Polyphia´s riffs and you deconstruct and reharmornize the whole song as if nothing...and in an acoustic guitar! (indeed lots of work behind scenes, but the result is great) clearly classical, jazz and flamenco years of training pays off when showing such high level of virtuosity and makes the hardest things look so easy... also great to have you back making great videos, this one is from now on one of my favorites...

      Classical guitarists have always been more technically proficient at the instrument than electric guitarists as electric guitar as electric guitar music is typically arranged with accompanying instruments in mind where as classical guitar approaches piano in the sense that classical guitar usually has no accompaniment, relying on the guitarist to cover all of harmony, percussion and bass. Different skill sets so you cant really compare the two and both fill different niches of phonic production and possibility but at least as far as technical ability (which as an aside is the single most useless metric for music as art is supposed to be concerned with a conversation with the observer, not a lecture on how good the artist is), classical guitar wins every time

    • @mrtoast244
      @mrtoast244 11 месяцев назад +12

      @@bigf0ot25 yea, Tim Henson is classically trained and used to play in a youth orchestra, but, his style grew (after learning to play rock/metal) to include the rest of the band (who are also really talented) so it's a given that solo Guitarists who are used to playing solo are more proficient on their own. As a whole though playing as a band lets you elevate your music as it's less restrictive with the amount of options you have. Though, it does restrict you in a different way, because you have to balance all the instruments, but it's easier when you have multiple experts in those instruments to help you.

    Just to add to my last post, I'm also a working musician. I also have the "ear" to hear and learn most songs in a bar or two. It's a heart felt road map of the music you hear. When you truly have the passion for your craft, there is truly no boundary! I can't tell you how many songs I've wrote or learned, just to always push the edge every time I play them. Music has saved my life tim and time again. Musicians like you are the inspiration I use to always push the song. What else can it do. There is no end. I always struggle when writing, I can't ever find the end!?!? Does anyone else have that issue and how do you get past it? Anyway, you did truly take an amazing song and busted it wide open. Now I have some new ideas to twist with it! Thank you!!

    Random notes are my favorite! It's also funny that diminished always works but augmented never works. Unless you're Jason Becker writing a song for Cacophony.

    • @starrk7158

      Augmented can work using it as a Dominant chord function back to the tonic most of the time. So like a sub-dominant chord. Generally speaking ofcourse.

    Such an outstanding rendition of an already outstanding song!! Once the jazz made itself present, it brought back whisps of forgotten memories of guitarist Andrew White's 'Peppino Noire' and 'Spanish Gentleman", and even a little bit of 'Minor Swing' from the Chocolat movie (orig. Django Reinhardt, updated interpretation by Rachel Portman for the film) all from quite a few years ago at this point, but wrapped all together with your skill it sounded incredible and a lovely unique take on the song! Well done!

    • @ravenecho2410

      do they? it's already jazzy, in fact the original tune has like 2/3rds jazz, if anything feels a bit like yacht jazz, or jazz/flamenco for being like that - idk, i feel like this guts the song of a lot of the grove, which idk i'm finding myself more and more confronted with jazz being like rhythmically pretty bland, cool chords tho :)

    Olha que coisa mais linda, mais cheia de graça
    É ela, menina, que vem e que passa
    Num doce balanço a caminho do mar
    Moça do corpo dourado, do Sol de Ipanema
    O seu balançado é mais que um poema
    É a coisa mais linda que eu já vi passar
