If you had a great competitive brain to upskill then why did you leave the Private sector? Even I have worked in the IT sector as Senior Developer but I didn't have competitive skills to code and hence I faced challenges to continue in IT till my 40s. Now I have joined State Govt. job before my 30s and I don't have fear of losing job as I am not highly competitive in private sector to hit daily targets.
Sirji… if u are speaking about praticality , think about group A Officer , best brains of India , unko salary kam hi hai as compared to private sector , management jobs in private sector gives atleast 3-4 times that of group A officer in same experience , Group C are decently paid in government sector bt they are overworked , most of the vacancy are not filled so pay commission and salary growth is justified .

Whatever you are saying is true . My father was a Class 1 state govt employee. Got a desk job, so he went to office at 10 am , did his job, and return by 6 pm. Life was actually balanced. Till my class 10th, he even used to teach me mathematics after the office. Imagine he had so much of family time. Yes sometimes there were ups and downs in his job , but majority of time it was really good. I never got any financial burden from him, he was so self sufficient (or may b our life was simple and not extravagant). He retired last year . But since I have seen so closely , I know how govt employee's life is especially the ones with higher posts. I am not sure about other people experiences .

Which means either private players will have to increase the salaries or not. In case they increase salary, price of their product will increase and hence it will be difficult to compete against foreign companies. This will result in less export, more deficit, government will take more loan , less infra or civil development. Overall heading towards civil unrest (srilanka, bangladesh etc). If private companies do not increase the salaries, private employees will struggle to survive and will become poor. Again same unrest kind of situation. Btw, you might be a government employees and getting benefitted from this pay hike. But your kids or grandkids may need to join private sectors. All these hikes are gonna affect the livelihoods of your upcoming generation. Karma will be back.

8th pay commission is good move for Govt employees & I appreciate that, but their salary hikes contribute little to consumer spending, bcz more people are working in the pvt sector, they still underpaid their spending will still be less. Whatever you are saying is true . My father was a Class 1 state govt employee. Got a desk job, so he went to office at 10 am , did his job, and return by 6 pm. Life was actually balanced. Till my class 10th, he even used to teach me mathematics after the office. Imagine he had so much of family time. Yes sometimes there were ups and downs in his job , but majority of time it was really good. I never got any financial burden from him, he was so self sufficient (or may b our life was simple and not extravagant). He retired last year .
But since I have seen so closely , I know how govt employee's life is especially the ones with higher posts.

Btw, economy 101, post commission 50k will become new 18k. Which means either private players will have to increase the salaries or not. In case they increase salary, price of their product will increase and hence it will be difficult to compete against foreign companies. This will result in less export, more deficit, government will take more loan , less infra or civil development. Overall heading towards civil unrest (srilanka, bangladesh etc).
If private companies do not increase the salaries, private employees will struggle to survive and will become poor. Again same unrest kind of situation.
Btw, you might be a government employees and getting benefitted from this pay hike. But your kids or grandkids may need to join private sectors. All these hikes are gonna affect the livelihoods of your upcoming generation. Karma will be back.

8th pay commission is good move for Govt employees & I appreciate that, but their salary hikes contribute little to consumer spending, bcz more people are working in the pvt sector, they still underpaid their spending will still be less. Along with 8th pay commission, govt should also be made labor law strict & increased minimum wage & hike in pvt sector as per inflation.
