I’m an American and I’d love to visit Canada. My ancestors were the Acadians from Nova Scotia that migrated to Louisiana were I grew up they are called the Cajuns now.
It is a beautiful place and the nicest scenery I have ever seen. There is a neighborhood in Truro Nova Scotia that has the Acadian flag all around. Very old gorgeous houses that have been there hundreds of years now.
I believe that's how French made its way down there. A great book. " The Invasion of Canada" Pierre Burton. It explains alot about when America attacked Canada and some of the results and migrations that took place.
