I have the same belief about a larger guitar will sound better. I love the look of this Martin. You seem right at home playing it, very soulful playing, effortless, peaceful, beautiful tone. I already have an acoustic which I’ve written many compositions, but this Martin looks in a different league. Thank you for demonstrating it to us. Just looked them up in the UK, they make them left handed. Another guitar on my wish list.

I own a 00L 17 and a Yamaha FSX5 ,and can tell you the Yamaha is a much better guitar, build wise. The Martin was purposely built to feel and sound like a 30's guitar, so for the bluesy stuff it's great. but for all around playing I would go to the Yamaha every time
Since you have played both the 00L-17 and the Dreadnought Jr 10....and though they are two different prices....do you think it’s 00L-17 is worth the $1500 usd price over the D Jr10 $600 usd price?
Hi Jonathan, thank you for that beautiful composition you played at start of video. Is it your composition, it is so quiet and peaceful. About that Martin, I do understand when you say"feels like an old friend", few years ago I got a The Loar LH250 whith the exact same specs and look as that Martin 00-17 ( but only €450), and its smaller size fits well in your hand, feels like sitting on the porch for a sunny afternoon playing quietly until dawn. Lot of highs and surprisingly enough lows, with 12-54 phosphore-bronze strings. Mine is a keeper ( beside my Martin D35 )

@@JonIsJustTooLoud unfortunately where I live right now there is a stay at home order and only curbside pickup for non essentials due to COVID and my favourite local shop does not have the streetmaster or the 17 series in stock.
