Momiji actually grew to love Tohru as a love interest. But he can see clearly that she loves Kyo through and through. He wants her to be happy, that's why he's pressuring Kyo to make a move since he loves her back.

Ok, first thing first. Momiji is the MPV of the whole serie. He deals with the worst experiences in the more mature and correct way. He always says the right things (same age as Kureno but completely different answer... and the one Akito needed)
Btw, his growth wasnt so sudden in the manga (when Tohru went to Kureno he was already as tall as her). And why woudnt he love her? She kept supporting and caring for him. The real love triangle of the MC.
If the begining feels rushed it's because it is. There were a lot of chapters there (for example, they explain that Ayame's relationship with Mine is what opened his eyes and forced him to empatize with others... and seek Yuki's forgiveness)
With Kyo it's a repressed memory triggered by the cap. It's only in the anime (again, because of the cut chapters). In the manga it's more the pressure of his impeding doom and the fact that Tohru's feelings are so obvious he cant run from them anymore.
momiji is the same age as kureno?

Shigure and Ayame are besties so when they talk dirty its not because they are into each other but they just have habit of doing it go make others question things .
The episode we met Mine and Yuki visited the shop . Ayame had a glimpse of a moment where we see him on his kness with his head in Mine's lap and later the same Ayame says "Even I have someone I deeply care about " or something like that and while he says that the picture of Mine comes on the screen . It was already shown a glimpse of their relation . The anime also left out a bit of content of how she knew about the curse but I kind of already thought Ayame and Mine were secretly dating to hide it from Akito .

Episode 6 is the reason why Tohru is one of my favorite characters ever. You get to know part of her backstory in the first episode of the series, and then you get a few glimpses of her conflict throughout seasons 1 and 2 (that episode where Hiro confronts her and she realizes that she talks about her mom a lot and that could be "disrespectful" for the Sohma's, for example). And she's been helping the Zodiac members and getting involved with them, with the curse and Kyo, passing on Kyoko's wisdom, but it's finally here where we get to really know what's on her mind and how she feels, and how she also has an "unbreakable" bond.

29:48 I think in this moment, Kyo realize he relates so much to her, because as a kid there also were these adults that were talking like that about him being the cat, or other mean things.
The bad part of the anime, and probably because this was in the making during shut down, they skipped over some aspects that did include the potential relationship between Ayame and Mine. And it was hysterical because Yuki actually had his friends over at Ayame’s shop. When Yuki realizes that Mine seems to know about the curse, Ayame skillfully avoids answering if they were together, did she know, and how did she find out. But it does push Yuki into wondering if he could pursue something with Machi.

There's quite a lot of rearranging and abbreviating that the anime does in the third season, and some of the stuff they do might make things a bit more confusing. Case in point the scene at the end of episode 6 here. There is a scene from the manga where Tohru sort of sees a "ghost" of her mom as she's worrying about forgetting her, but it's different than how it's done in the anime, and skimming through the manga again I haven't found any scene like in the anime with Kyo suddenly remembering Kyouko's death. I'm not entirely sure why they put it in there since I do think it's confusing after knowing about the memory wiping from earlier in the series.
I would definitely describe episode 5 as "Bittersweet" and episode 6 as "Heartbreaking" if I were to describe them with a feeling

Not sure if you're referring to kyoko and kyo's similarity is because you're thinking kyoko's hair colour is natural, but Kyoko has dyed it orange as she was part of the yankee gang, like Arisa (ou-chan)

Tohru has looked almost too perfect for most of the show, but the cracks are showing now. And in fact, they've been laying the groundwork for Tohru's story for a long time. In the first season, when she is helping Yuki with his garden, he says he's just nice to get people to like him and she panics, wondering if she's like that. Yuki says no, he thinks it's natural for her....but actually it is true. She's spent her whole life being polite, being nice, desperately trying to be liked so that people won't leave her. She's put up with all kinds of things from people, including the Somas, for fear of the loss that would result if she didn't. And again, on the beach trip, when Yuki was struggling to tell her how he really feels about her, and talking about "opening the lid", Tohru has a quiet crisis of her own, struggling to open the lid of her own buried conflicted feelings. She's taken a back seat for a little while here, while everyone else is struggling against their own bonds and having to face the truths they fear, but now their struggles are again forcing her to do the same.
I think there are multiple reasons that Momiji didn't just flat out tell Kyo that his bond was broken. First is that he promised Akito in the moment that he wouldn't tell anyone, and he is one to keep his promises. Second, is that he doesn't know why or how it broke. That's not very helpful to tell someone who is trapped. "I don't know, It just did" doesn't give much to go on. Kyo doesn't really need nice words or hopeful and potentially empty promises (remember how he felt about needing his true form acknowledged by his mother even if feared). Kyo needs to decide who he's going to be no matter what happens. He needs to choose his own personhood whether he's in a cage or out, because otherwise he'd carry his mental cage with him even on the outside - as he has been this whole time. Momiji is trying to give him motivation, not reassurance.
Shishou's grandfather, the previous cat, was kind to him even from his prison. (BTW, his companion was not the Old Maid, his companion was Shishou's grandmother and does not appear in the story - probably deceased). Is Kyo going to be like that, or the raging, despairing monster Akito wants to see him as?
