    This is why I no longer buy Tissot watches. Placing the backplate is nothing like shown here. It takes a press to close these watches, specially if its the first battery exchange. looks like this watch have been pried open several times. Not true to reality.

    Hi there. I have a pair of Tissot Chrono XL watches but the backs are just airtight without any gap. It's so tight in fact that I'm not sure if pry tool would work on them. I'd greatly appreciate any DIY instructions.

      Hello, no such thing as air tight but any watch that hasnt been opened before will seem tight and impossible to pry open. I would take a magnifying glass and inspect the crevice to see some gap that could be open with a knife or a sharp blade.

      @@lordtardar4639I have the same watch… replacing the battery for the first time. Were you able to do it yourself?

      @@jhickssmd No. I even got a basic battery replacement kit with pry tool but that was useless and I can't seem to find anything thin enough to remove the back. There's a "wrench back remover" tool but I didn't want to risk damaging the watches.
