    Thank you for this very helpful video. Ima final year nurse student working in recovery and rehab and this is used a lot thanks. This will help me in my placement. My assessor has asked me to learn about this CAA. This does help!

    Dorothy pls advice if l can practice as NQSW in uk from South Africa without ASYE program.

    • @dorothyinspires8091
      @dorothyinspires8091  Год назад

      Hi Sarah
      If you are a newly qualified social worker, whether you are overseas or whether you are based in the UK, provided you are able to secure a permanent social work role in the UK, then there is no other alternative than to complete the ASYE program with the local authority or organisation that employs you.
      The local authority or organisation will support you through your first year of employment, which is the ASYE program. As long as the role you have applied for is an ASYE role and was advertised as such.
      Most of the jobs which are advertised by local authorities do state whether it's an ASYE role (newly qualified) or whether its a role which requires an experienced social worker. Once the local authority employs you for an ASYE role, then the expectation is that they support you through your first year of practice (ASYE)
