Kinsley radiates light and kindness. She is beautiful and clever. She loves her sisters and has transitioned to country living with ease. Callie has eyes whoch speak for her every emotion. She is inquisitive and quietly absorbs what is happening around her. She adores Cassidy who is in that delightful, grabbing anything she shouldn't tough & sloppily eating her yogurt stage.
Watching Cassidy peek-a-booing from the tent, I just had to think how GREAT it is that Cassidy is SO healthy and happy!! It’s MORE than phenomenal that u and Phillip had your miracle baby, and that u found your older 2 miracle children!! Thank God. SO happy for you!!!!!!
That's a great perspective Alex--a leak in the roof is no big deal. Most of our complaints are no big deal. People have lost their home and possessions from the hurricane. 💗
Please make sure to clean out that extra long dryer vent hose. It is a fire hazard since it is laying down where lint can collect. The longer hoses are really intended for stretching vertically not horizontally.
I had a friend who used a hand held shop vac thing and blew the lint out of my dryer hose. My guess is it's 20feet, but he also separated each clamp of the hose sections to clean and put it back together. Have a nice night! Laural
I agree 100%!! I had them for both of my kids, now 16 and 12! They were 29w and 28w preemies and they both wore these from the time we could find them to fit! They were definitely the best!!
Thank you for the prayers we've been in the hotel since the day before the storm then was stuck at the hotel with no electricity for almost 4 days...were still in the hotel but yes it's pretty bad down here so thank y'all so much for the prayers!!
Alex, thank you so much for sharing your excitement for “normal” and “routine” because I have been feeling so overwhelmed and so out of sorts lately & I have been looking forward to this weekend to really dive into housework and recovering from all of our summer camping trips that were absolutely amazing but also extremely challenging to stay caught up on the normal routines. Now I feel excited for normal and I think that’s all I needed to realize to get in a better mood. Love you guys!!
Hey Alex I'm so glad y'all made it through Ida but unfortunately like myself most of Louisiana didn't go unscaved. We've lost our roofs lost power lost water no gas for generators no food or drinking water. Unlike Katrina, Ida was worse with the 150t mph winds and rain. most of southern Louisiana are still without all the above but we're safe. I lost my roof my apartment plus it flooded. I'm staying at a friend's house a mile away with minimal damage who is on Colorado on vacay. We are very slowly getting store with generators to open with the bare Essentials lines for gas are mostly miles long and hours to wait. Buy we are safe. I'm sorry to vent on your beautiful video. But you me smile about your drier being on the correct side now... it's the little things we take for granted that we gives us the biggest joy. Have a very blessed evening. P. S. Cassidy will walk when she is ready. Don't rush her let her be a baby for as long as possible. Love to you all
So loving the quieter you. Kids will settle down eventually too. ADHD is not easy to cope with especially when surrounded with chaos. I think you are both doing a great job lately. It shows. My grandson is adhd and is 27 he has a hard time too especially when it gets chaotic in his surroundings. It’s also a sign of being highly intelligent
Not too crazy for trying to find the right paint color. My husband and I had a hard time choosing and our kitchen we decided on egg shell. It has so much natural light no other color seemed to fit. Not sure if you’ve looked into that route. But it would be perfect choice for the farm decor. Hopefully that helps. Love watching
I just wanted to say how proud you must be of Kinsley as a big sister. She is the sweetest little girl and so good to her sisters. How cute is Cassidy in the tepee. I personally love the colours of your floor. Closer to the window can take the slightly darker tones as the light will mitigate them. Love your vlogs! Xxxxx
I can’t explain how your sharing of your beautiful family has blessed my life. My husband and I both were in the hospital last week with COVID. We came home this weekend but my husband had to go back Tuesday morning with bacterial pneumonia. Please keep us in your prayers. Love your video’s. Your a gift from God . Thank you for listening to Him because you help people like me.
We're getting ready to drive to Montana, for my son's wedding. I always like to have the house clean and de-cluttered, before we leave, so we come home to an inviting environment. We live about 10 minutes from our 3 and 8-month old grandchildren, and we have SO many toys that our oldest, Samuel, loves bringing up from the basement. Our living room is HUGE. We had it built that way, because we were raising 4 young children and wanted to have space for them and space to entertain people from church. We now have a line of toys from one end to the other, and it's not going anywhere before we leave. I just had to take a deep breath and smile, because alot of clutter signifies alot of Joy and fun had by our grands! Everything doesn't have to be perfect. In fact, it's a false thing to try to have. We are all imperfect, so our homes will also be that way. They just need to be clean and safe and SOMEWHAT organized, because that teaches our children to take care of what they've been given. Thanks for sharing your family with us. And yes, you obsess too much about white! I'm with your husband. Don't sweat the details so much. Do you really want to spend time you could be putting up vegetables to can or freeze, or playing with your children, or almost doing anything else, repainting a room that you just painted, because you don't like the shade of white? There are too many other important things to do! By the time you hang pictures and a whiteboard on it, you won't see the white. Stop looking at trends, etc, and do what you like. It's not a museum. It's your home, to be enjoyed and lived in!
Watching this vlog is giving me flashbacks to when my family remodeled a large part of the house when I was about 12 years old. We spent 3 months sleeping in a camper in the yard. The dog spent a week or two on a leash to stay out of the fresh poly'd floors (and I dropped the leash one time and that dog was forever memorialized by paw prints in the living room floor!). It'll be so nice when it's done!!
Love you guys!!!! Alex, you and I have such very similar stories and I love the strength and faith y’all have!! Plus, I share a name with your beautiful Callie! ❤️
I wanted to touch up the white trim and doors throughout the house. I knew not the white paint the pervious owners had used to paint a significant amount pf the house in this white paint so I kinda panicked knowing if I made a mistake choosing the white paint for touching up I may have to repaint a lot. God showed me Oxford white by Sherwin Williams and I chose that bought a small can and have since bought gallons as I am touching up now cellings and walls. It is not the same paint the pervious owners used apparently theirs was from home depot but it matches perfectly and is stunning and I can touch up a spot without painting over all of their paint. I am so happy and greatfull God showed me the perfect white to match.
We flip houses my husband just retired and my daughter in ministry. So, they side hustle by flipping she does the design it’s in Henderson, TN . She did all whites you could go up just to see how it looks or look on the MLS.But, to get the real vision probably would want to see it in person. Have a blessed day.
Have you looked at whisper white? It is a paint from Home Depot but Sherwin Williams will match the color. We looked at whites for our new shiplap sunroom for days and was unable to pick one. Went back for sample taped them to the wall and at the same time my husband I pointed to it and said "that one." So whisper white it is. We were also able to get to wood beams from a house that was destroyed in a tornado in East Nashville last year. So I can show it to you with that because I know you said you want to bring in some of that too. Whisper whit I think you will like it.
I love the girl's imagination! How to turn a rocket ship into a doctor's office in one day! Not to forget Cassidy's use of her spoon, using both ends, ingenious! Ya'll are really cool people! Take care.
After you two recommended "Peck, Peck, Peck", I bought it and really liked it. Now I will recommend one for you! "Not a Box," by Antoinette Portis. You won't be sorry. It'll be your girls favorite book! Having the washer and drier's doors compatible makes doing laundry so much easier! Great vlog!
Hurricane Ida really hit where I live in jersey. The tornado was right down the road. So many homes are gone and the dairy farm got really destroyed. It was the craziest storm in a long time here.
I wanted cozy too, and was disappointed it was so greenish and i asked the contractor if he was sure they had the rite color :( they said yes. I like the eggshell finish. P.S. This video was so reminiscent of why I started watching your channel. It May have been my third subscribe to a YT channel, once I understood what that meant lol. I just looked up your channel each time. The experience of your family, going with you. Vacation Bible School, the store, tushy injections, up and down the stairs of the condo, Grammy...I miss Grammy 😥, I could go on, Breakfast prep helpers... Thank you, and I enjoy you and am thankful for you! Laural
Hey guys , i have a question about Covid and how you guys manage Covid with a cardiac baby? My 2 year old was born with Atrial Tachycardia and we have been lucky enough in Australia to avoid the pandemic to this point. I am how ever constantly stressed out about the strain it could put on my sons heart if he was to catch it. Would love your thoughts and opinions / experience if you are able :) Also , paint always drys 2-3 shades darker then when you put the paint on the walls.
I suggested to move the washer and dryer ages ago 🤣 people kept saying to swap the doors around and I was like "just switch the machines!" Yay you will find it so much better to transfer the wet clothes to the dryer now!🙌👍🏻
Loved the vlog Alex! Ive recorded a whole video before with the lens cap on!! LOL Don't feel bad about losing the sound, it happens! Glad you guys are back at home, there really is no place like home. Love You Guys!!
I've done the same thing before 😂 I tend to prefer looking through the view finder rather than the screen, but that has gotten me into trouble quite a few times......
NJ got slammed too. I kept getting tornado emergency alerts and flash flood alerts. Wasn't sure if I should be in the basement or high ground. We lucked out and didn't get either but there were 7 tornadoes. In one night. We never have them. The weather is insane this year. The northern half of Jersey was underwater yesterday. Ps I love your floors ❤
No no no Simply White only looks creamy yellowish is direct sun, the color swatch is the direct sun shining on it color. ITS SO GREEN ACTUALLY. Oh no I hope it's not too late. Laural
Oh no! I hope Alex sees your comment before it’s too late! Actually, I think someone else commented something similar, about using it in their bathroom and that it ended up looking almost lime green! Yikes!
Thank you so much for keeping those in Ida's track around here. Last night we had a tornado go through our backyard. Luckily we have amazing meteorologists and were told to get to the basement immediately. Thankfully these meteorologists saved thousands of lives. In my area that was hot there was only one death but in this region I thin they have said that there have only been 4 deaths and considering what we have been through that is amazing! We had major flooding in our basement and were almost evacuated but luckily the water started to go down. We consider ourselves very lucky! Two blocks from our house it looks like a war zone. There is a house right around the corner from us that was ripped apart. The family got out safely but they lost everything. The schools in my school district have so much damage that honestly don't have any idea when they will be able to have kids come back. Our police station was a complete loss. The damage in our area is shocking. I has really opened my eyes and has reminded me once again to never take something granted it! If you could please pray for our community as we all heal from this. I can't tell you how many times today I just got tears with it setting in just how close things were and how so many other families weren't as lucky. We are struggling with finding a humidifier that is something we can afford and then realize that so many other families would problem welcome that as there only struggle right now. If you could pray that we could find a humidifier that we can afford we would really appreciate it. There was inches of rain in our basement and trying to get it dried out asap would be such a help in preventing mold. Sorry this was so ling winded! I am praying for all of those who have been impacted by Ida, those in the mid west who have been impacted by floods and tornados, those who are being impacted by the fires and anyone else I have forgotten to mention! Thank you for being such an amazing family and reminding me about my walk with Christ and the importance of it! Your family has been a source of encouragement to me on on a regular basis but when I am having a rough day I know where to look first! May God continue to pour many blessings on your family!
It's not the paint color that turns, once you get it in a room, it's the lighting in that particular room and how it reflects on the color. You must always, ALWAYS, take the swatches home, and put them in the room you are planning to paint. The same paint can look different in each room, and even on each wall, depending on how much light it has. I recently broke my own rule, and bought a can of paint at Lowes without bringing the swatch home. It looked light gray in the store, it looks like gray in the very sunny kitchen, but when I rolled it on the walls in my dining room, which has only one window, it looked baby blue. I do not want a baby blue dining room, 😂🤣😂, so back to Lowes I went!
You could always send me all your paint chips thingys,I use them for swiping in my paint pours ,after I get my feet wet, I want to do a cute piece for Cassidys room ,and I also want to do a tile with my favorite verse jer 29;11 for your new Bible study room ; )
Honestly loud parents make for loud children lol. I learned to tone my voice down and it made for a quieter home and we were more welcomed by others because of it the children were less stressed because of it and so was I. I enjoy you quieter posts
We have an online company called 'Cheeky Little Soles' here in Australia. They make soft leather footware.and lined with lambswool. They're gorgeous! Maybe have a look and see if they're available in the USA? 😄😄😄
I just adore your family! I get so much from your vlogs! I was on a fertility journey until it turned into an infertility one! Something that I am still trying to move past. Anyway, I love what your vlogs have morphed into…….homesteading! Among other family things! One of my favourite vlogs of yours was when Phil started sourcing and producing your own maple syrup! It was fascinating and I couldn’t wait to watch more of it!! But you guys only ever did that 1 vlog about it! Lol If you guys are still doing your own maple syrup production, I hope you will include it or parts of it in some more of your vlogs. It’s fun to watch. I know you still have plenty of work to do on your house, but you have already done so much and it really is looking amazing. I love your new floors. I adore wood. I love anything wooden! I’m looking forward to seeing you preserving your home grown veggies. You and Phil are such wonderful parents, plus you have such wonderful girls, which I’m sure makes it easier! Cassidy is just blooming and she radiates light and love, I hope she is passed all of her health issues. She looks so healthy. All 3 girls are such happy young ladies! So much love in your home. 💜
Random, but since you cook with cast iron a lot, could you do a video or maybe snippets of advice for using cast iron? I’ve never used a cast iron pan, but I want to. I have a cast iron griddle and it smoked like crazy when I used it, so I haven’t used it since, but I would love to!!!
Oh goodness sure! Maybe on IG stories. I LOVE my cast iron. Have you ever “seasoned” your cast iron? If not, google the steps. It’s pretty much oiling it and putting it in the oven forever on extremely hot.

Robeez is THE best Soft sole moccasin type shoe for littles. I used them for all my kids. I loved that the kids couldn't pull them off themselves.
I used them for my boy nearly 20 years ago. He went through a few pairs. They were great. I couldn’t remember the name until you said it.

Get Cassidy a push toy. Helps so much
Oh do the gallery white. It’s gorgeous. I totally agree, all whites are different and great a different mood.
Silly question, do you open the window to air your beautiful home?
ROBEEZ for the soft soled shoes for Cassidy! We loved them!! Someone else mentioned them too. ❤️
If you need any canning recipes I have tons!!! I have a great 7 day refrigerator pickle recipe…
Oh no hahah. Yes that sounds familiar. Love it! Back to Lowe’s I went…so good!
Robeez! A bit expensive, but they're sooo well made. One pair lasted my son through his whole soft sole phase.
So happy to see Cassidybegining to walk. I thought nobody help her to teach her first steps.👏👏👏
We had bad a hurricane in new Orleans we find food at the store here
I understand your issues with white. I have the same issues with gray. 🙄
I bought a pair of neutral toddler Robeez when my little guy was her age. They were great and held up well enough to pass them on to my nephew🙂
I love you both but I'm with Philip on the white paint 😄
I'm so glad you guys are safe, but some many lost so much from the flooding. God bless you guys🙏
Love you guys too in loving memory of Brooke and Lynn my two bffs and Lynn's mom
My grandson crawled just like Cassidy and one day just started walking. Never looked back.
My daughter Crawled the same way too!
Lol
If you guys are still doing your own maple syrup production, I hope you will include it or parts of it in some more of your vlogs.
I love your necklace, such a sweet little cross. Do you remember where it was from? 😍
Pedipeds are awesome first shoes. The child still feel like they are bare footed.
Little Bee Mocs! SO CUTE
The voice over part was so cute :)
Your flooring is beautiful!
Little Love Bug has some really cute soft sole shoes! My daughter has a few pairs, and the quality is really nice.

Nomies are amazing!
Happy you are home 🏠
Your family is so precious! I love yall
You are smart to try and avoid the off-gassing from things like that.
Alex you look so happy and I love it. I have so much hope that you'll continue to grow your family
