Charice's rendition here i perfect, as I hear it!!! For all those who said anything about a flat somewhere in the song...I have listened to it over and over and over again...and cannot detect any flatness. Those who heard of this supposedly half-second flatness could have Golden Ears(LOL), a term used in audiophile circles describing elitist who can detect every nuances and details of music(at worst, even imagined ones...LOL).
She is incomparable singer n am very.proud for what all those achievement n appreciation she got specially aboad..truly amazing singer.. i honestly love all her songs n i hope she can still do.the same .
congaratulations cha! thank you thailand for making charice, her debut album a certified gold in your beautiful country.. next up, the grammy's peoples choice awards. watch out for the announcement of nominees tom, 11/10/10.. all the way to the top baby! :D
@celinediva4ever Charice is a power belter who sings in a grand manner (a la 'grandioso' and 'energico' as they say) and I believe pulling the mic away allows for equalizing the dynamics of her voice, else, she'd be booming into it than what's called for in a song. Just my two cents. Thanks for appreciating her.
@streetknoyze Hehehe. I remember from way back, someone posted a comment to show the audience instead of Charice. All of us already know about Charice. It's more exciting to see how the audience react to such mind-blowing, roof-raising performance.
OK! I am really wondering if this is how it is with every fan of a great singer. Does a fan of Beyonce always watch her videos every night? Does a fan of Miley Cyrus always watch for any news concerning her EVERYDAY? Does a fan of Justin Bieber keep on watching his concerts over and over and NEVER gets tired of it? I AM NEVER LIKE THIS. And I'm just wondering if this is how a fan really is to his favorite artist. Because I can see that I am NOT THE ONLY ONE. And it's really scary..in a good way
PinoysinThailand> congratulations for being one of the chaninja ahahaha..... taking video for chasters inspite of very strict security.....Keep up the good work guys!!!! don't worry your effort is highly appreciated by the chasters around the world.....
@thelenada2002 actually, it is the mic transmitter. Lapel is a fold in front a coat and a continuation of the coat collar; and it is the word added to mic to denote a mic placed on a lapel, thus lapel mic. :)
@soodamned I'm just guessing that no one else here saw the New York performance of this number, it was absolutely perfect so it's easy for me to hear the small mistake in this one. I'm actually surprised that she corrected it so quickly, that's amazing. Most performers don't notice that quickly but she realized like a half a second out and corrected her technique. That's really amazing.
Charice looks so pretty in here!! I love this look much more than the way she did in the Phil. I guess the Thai & Japanese stylists are way better than the Pinoy stylist! Awesome performance as usual! Thanks for sharing.
@dalat12 I think the Filipinos know how to dress her better. They did it in such a way that her dress suit her height and accentuated her nice figure and shapely legs. According to the fashion experts, short people should not wear clothes that are cut in the middle and that they should preferably be of a single color. In addition, they definitely should not wear hats as they make them look shorter. In her outfit at Araneta, Charice looked simply vivacious.
Has anybody spotted Woody in the audience yet? I just thought I ask since charice start singing from the audience, who knows maybe he was sincere when he told charice that he loved her, that's when charice was guesting on his Woody talk show and singing ENDLESS LOVE!!!
@soodamned Regarding 3:24, bending up from a semitone below towards the note and then sustaining with vibrato is a very common technique for both vocalists and guitarists. It adds a pleasing little dramatic flair if done right. Not sure whether it was intentional, instinctive, or accidental in this case, but I think it sounded good.
@penetrator52 I'm not saying it's a bad performance. I love Charice and it really was amazing, however Charice is human. She makes mistakes. I think what makes this performance more unique is that she has the rare ability to correct herself almost immediately. She is flat for a second. But what is more amazing than some of her most powerful notes is that she realized she was flat and fixed it within milliseconds. Not even Whitney or Celine could do that, but Charice can and that's why I love her.
@penetrator52 I'm actually giving her a compliment when Whitney goes flat she's flat for five seconds and everyone notices she's flat before she fixes it. It's the same with a lot of other big singers. Charice is only flat for a second and fixed just like that. What you don't think it's amazing that she has voice control like that? I think it just proves she has the best voice. Also it's hard to take your name-calling serious when you use "ur", "some1", and write without capitalization.
@celinediva4ever interesting observations but I don't think it's the lack of technique but more of voice preservation, sound effect, visual effect, etc; on the contrary its quite intuitive -- remember she has 2 more venues left to perform so she has to preserve her voice. search power of love in vegas or NYC and I think that is the kind of performance you are looking for. as far the the riffs and runs i think its more on her improvisation; she is still young let her try something different.
@tofifiness I agree. She definitely looks more pleasing here. Her voice though is out of the question. It's always amazing. But whenever she's in Korea or Philippines, her style turns "blekk".
Her beauty plus her voice is the hardest combo to resist on this planet..

Killer Voice
@TorontoCA2 yes, I'm speaking Thai. I said Thank you very much! =)
@soodamned, she just bended the notes, and it is normal in every musicians and singers. She sustained the notes right. It is one of her technique.
