With tourism thriving, Henrico records its highest-ever monthly total for hotel/motel tax revenues

Henrico County collected $1.9 million in tax revenues from visitors staying in hotels and motels in March. It represented the county's highest-ever monthly total for transient occupancy tax revenues - 16% more than the previous high of $1.6 million from March 2023.
"The more tourist activity that happens here, the more money they spend, it allows us to keep the tax burden on our citizens and businesses low," Deputy County Manager for Administration Brandon Hinton said, "and we're doing a hell of a job keeping that tourist wanting to come back to Henrico."
