and this is what mario's world is like on shrooms, fitting they have u get a shroom to start the game instead of just start/enter
Just letting you know, there are secret pipes. In 1-1, the first pipe is a secret. In 1-2, the first pipe after the checkpoint is a secret too. No secret invisible 1-UP blocks, though.
10:11 - Nope, they're still semi-solids. In fact, EVERYTHING in the game is a semi-solid, including Mario.

they weren't semisolids originally. mario maker made that change
Semi-solid (in this context) means you can go through the bottom of a platform, and stand on the top.

Easier to control if you think of Mario as a rocket and contol him that way, using the Up arrow and making minor adjustments with the left and right arrows haha.
A few minutes into the game and Dave gets softlocked. I don’t know whether I should be impressed or disappointed

Hey Dave, i have a game sugestion for this series. How about a Mario and Luigi game? They're not really ridiculous or anything like that but the jokes are funny and the stuff that happens in some of the cutscenes is pretty hilarious!

Also this is meant to be a family friendly channel and I know the actual title of that game isn't family friendly.

I really feel like the next game Dave should check out for the ridiculous and hilarious series should be TABS (Totally Accurate Battle Simulator). It's one of the wackiest and craziest games I've ever seen.

(i think this comment got deleted origninally because I included a link to the game so just look it up on itch) I recommend the game "Juice Galaxy" for this series. It is currently in early beta so it is just a mostly empty sandbox with a couple of special areas and bossfights but it is a lot of fun and is really strange. You play as a fully customizable blob creature that lives in a world made of juice where you must defeat monsters with a myriad of weapons that you can manually swing around with your floppy arms. there are also some hilarious set pieces and a satisfying progression system, even if it is way too easy to become overpowered
