I totally agree, if you love a skirt or a bag from 20 yrs ago, you should still wear it and enjoy it, as we know “fashion always comes around”. Have you ever done a vid about your move to the US, and what British traditions/quirks have you held on to ?
I think that the GG symbol is timeless especially with this particular material. I think that it actually has a timeless vintage look.

I still use my older bags, like the Fendi spy, I love the slouchy butter soft leather. It’s totally not in style but I still wear it from time to time. I agree with you and your soapbox ❤️

You gave me some great ideas. I went with a pair of embossed burgundy velvet mules and burgundy faux fur cross body bag w/ gold chain. ( I’m so thrilled to have found a cute pair of shoes in a size 11w via eBay)
I also managed to score a men’s long brown & tan tweed wool coat for $12 at a thrift store. It’s in excellent condition I just needed to have it dry cleaned. I took the challenge you gave a while back, about thinking outside the box and looking in the men’s section...and tah-dah, I now have a very nice winter coat! Thank Karen for sharing your ideas and finds.

I loved that bag in that color from the very beginning, tried to get hold of the Small for the longest time. Gucci only came back with the Medium and Mini in Cobolt. Same with the Ruby color. The Cobolt color in the Small is particularily pretty I find. Something about the compact look. Your video was a joy as usual.
it may sound a little excessive, but when my hands get very dry in the winter, i put on Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream (the fragrance free one), and then put something more emollient on top like L'Occitane Shea Butter Lotion.
Another great video Karen. I love what I love. Sometimes I join the masses and buy into the trend (like I know the Gucci belt is everywhere but I absolutely adore it.). I will love it long after the trend dies down and it will become maybe part of my signature as you speak about . It takes real style confidence to not follow the herd. So yes just keep wearing what you like and speaks to you. I adore that bag by the way!

I completely agree about luxury bags becoming part of fast fashion. But some of the bags I have I have had and used for years.
I have had a Tan Mulberry Bayswater (I know that is considered a classic style bag) for 7 years and I still use it often and cherish it so so much.
If the bag is the right fit for your wardrobe I think it can last for years and years.
By the way the Gucci Marmont is gorgeous!
I hate that the value of bags has altered by releasing bags so quickly now.
I bought a leather mini Marmont in black and got it on the flipside of it being "cool" to wear. I don't buy bags I don't plan to keep. I still have my chocolate leather Chloe Edith from Phoebe Philo's 2006 collection (along with several of her bags!), which I bought brand new at the time. If it makes me happy, it makes me happy well past the trendiness. A good bag is a joy forever. 😉
Totally agree with what you’re saying regarding the speed of handbags coming out etc. I’ll buy a bag and I have this in the mini (black) and a year later I’m being told by friends to get rid of it because it’s ‘basic’ now etc. I nearly sold mine the other day and I’m really glad I didn’t. ❤️ love this video. Nice video! Side note...I purchased those Zara offwhite boots for $199. I was sooo excited when they finally came, but I had to return them. I could not get them past my ankles!! I wish Zara would include the circumference of their knee high boots it could have saved me from buying them. For anyone thinking about purchasing them but have normal but a little thicker calves (my calves measure 15')...they won't fit and there's no zipper on them...just slide in's. But they look awesome on you Karen!
I agree with you with this whole fast fashion idea in the luxury arena! My goodness every 5 seconds it seems there is a new it bag. I LOVE lux bags but I can’t afford a new one every month! I am holding on to my classics: vuitton, chanel; Fendi and that it. I refuse to chase every trend and just go for what I love. Everyone loves the Fendi peekaboo! But for some reason the Fendi dot com speaks to me more. I have two! And love them. Who cares what everyone else thinks!!!

The idea of purchasing a new “It” bag every few months just goes against what I believe, it’s a waste of money, it’s often a marketing trick to get women to buy more(it’s not sugar or nicotine but it’s close). Besides, I think you should allow yourself the time to really appreciate and use something that is so beautifully crafted and is meant to last years( I love that Marmont) And look at all the beautiful vintage bags that are still going strong, I own a few, I won’t let those go. Im also one of those people that gets attached to my things. Ok, I’m gonna write a book if I don’t stop now, love you Karen and keep it up, I just have to say I appreciate that you’re a bit of a ham because I completely identify! keep it goin’!

2 very moisturizing hand creams are the Body Shop Shea Butter Body Butter and the L’occitane Shea Butter hand cream. And when the weather gets really really cold I put on the lotion and then put on a body oil (I use Shea Moisture body oil) but you can use any oil!

Just found your videos/channel, thank you, I’m really enjoying and learning a lot. For hand cream, it sounds like you want something to absorb. I use and love cera-ve pm face cream for my hands, about $12. The top locks, the plastic container fits in my purse easily, it moisturizes and soaks in,no greasy feel, also, unscented, my preference for “lotions and potions”. I agree with another commenter, I’d love to see more on different denim styles and shoes/boots.

FYI: 17:50 is where she gets into her styling outfits with the bag as an accessory. Not really a designer name person. I enjoy what fashion items look like and how it helps with the completed look. Like the dark brown suede trench coat, but my favorite outfit is the green H&M dress and the boots/ blue coat. Don't do the Black Friday thing (except I am black and it was Friday), I Have a budget for each person for Christmas and will pickup items when I can. Thanks for sharing your outfits and I will be using your looks for inspiration.

This is actually the medium Karen, I believe. The small doesn’t have the flap top, it just zips side to side. The mini has the flap like the medium. And they could have updated this since you purchased it so your purse could be the medium style then. Let me know. I adore your review and this purse is on my list!! 😍
I think it’s the small. Either Nordstrom has it named wrong or Neimans does as far as size. $1890 for med on Nordstrom site and small on Neimans. The measurements are a little off as well.

Have you tried the Bliss hand cream? Also (know is sounds weird) you should try a foot lotion. They are usually very thick and soothing. Bonus: most smell like mint or lemon. 🍋

Yes the color of the *amzrepe* is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
