Usually w German openings, even the really good ones, you can tell that the visuals of the intro were originally intended to go with a different song. Not so with Heller als Licht. It also transitions into the soundtrack for the recap segment SO smoothly. When I watched the show as a kid I had no idea it wasn't the real intro.
Yeah, speaking of opening theme, it REALLY makes me crave a Tecna spin-off! The blue code aesthetic and digital sound effects are 😘⚡️ along with the iconic track. 🙌
I totally got goosebumps when number one came up, because it was so unexpected to ever see and hear my childhood nostalgia song on a Winx Club opening ranking. I’m so glad I grew up with this song. It was so different from everything else on tv and totally stood out at this time. In Germany we also had the original song in season 1 and 3, but season 2 and sometimes season 1 had Heller als Licht.
Heller Als Licht deserved to stick for all of season 3, even if it meant they had to… remix it or something to keep it fresh. I’m low-key disappointed that it got left behind.

4Kids will always be #1 in my book. I even had the entire song memorized until 4Kids ended! Favorite part was always the opening verse and just don’t touch the hair! Also the parts of the girls powers was epic considering they didn’t use Magix Winx transformation Rai music, including Stella being the sun and the MOON. Also in my opinion the first verse is such an inspiration even Fate the Winx Saga novel used it: Close your eyes and open your heart, believe in yourself, that’s how it starts! Dreams will come true, just wait and see, cause the magic’s in you and the magic’s in me! Its such a powerful quote to use whenever life puts you down, to keep believing in your inner strength and things will get better, even if its small things. I also love how this quote isn’t purely applied to Bloom’s main story about discovering herself but especially in S2 and 3 with each Winx having to push past their insecurities to earn Charmix and are so selfless they’re ready to unknowingly earn Enchantix! 2. Rai S1, because I really love the Italian accent flair 3. Power of Believix S4- not canon but I actually liked this song to shake it up instead of reusing the old song. Plus I felt giving it a new song made it clear it wasn’t meant to be produced or even canon, almost like an epilogue to the series with Earth rejoining the Magic Dimension with Earth magic finally restored, despite stupidly in later seasons we don’t see how this affects normal humans or even different world governments arguing with this supposed Queen Nebula who is like 10X more powerful than even the most advanced military technology combined. S5,6,7,8 in my opinion are just meh. Yeah S5 and 8 are more upbeat, but still not screaming powerful fairies in my book. S5 I don’t know just doesn’t have an electrifying kick like Sirenix, not gonna lie it sounds more like a “back to school” vibe, just making it more painfully obvious they ARE teens and students again instead of legendary powerful fairies helping new fairies master their magic. It takes more than an electrifying intro to make a song awesome. S6 imo is more about them being best friends no matter what, which I guess kinda connects them to being more “powerful” through little miss narcissistic. S7 actually imo has a catchy beat and kinda a jungle vibe, but yes the lyrics make me think its a song about zoo animals who are the main characters instead, not protecting the environment and rescuing and helping endangered animals. S8 as well again it gives me more of a superhero vibe kinda like Kim Possible instead of legendary fairies who are supposedly dealing with some of the most powerful magic in existence. Your 1 I admit does actually catch that mystical energy, its simply too repetitive imo. With WoW I actually don’t really remember the themes tbh. But yeah in a way I almost felt it did sound a little more mature as per the demographic target supposed to be S1-3 again. *Just a sidenote, in S7 I actually would’ve killed to have Irresistible Winx as either the intro or ending. That song is literally the only one that was awesome from S7 while a few were pretty good but most unfortunately were 👎

Nr. 1 is really a treat! I grew up with it and when i think of the show i immediately think of this Song. Just the title "Brighter than Light" conveys the feeling of the song and show perfectly. There is nothing brighter than light that we know of but the song tells us: Come take my hand and come with me to a place where there is something brighter than even light itself
To be honest, about the english version of the season 8's theme song actually feels like it's less happy than the italian version. The italian version of the season 8's song feels more happy and it gives you the feels that the singers are happy while performing the song while in comparison to the English version of it. The performance in the english version does not give me happy vibes like the italian performance does.
Heller als Licht was one of the most badass intros of my childhood. Just the moment when the last chorus starts and Bloom all in flames rises from the depths of that cliff? Oh HELL YES I'm gonna watch the Winx fairies wield the power of the universe and beat the snot out of bad guys! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Do you think it’s because of the Winx Club’s music being one of the many reasons why it feels like takes forever and ever for brand new Winx Club content to come to be? No really! I used to figure out Winx Club songs and write them down all the time on my manuscripts not long after I first gotten into the series! 😃 I may of gotten the key signatures and notes right but I always failed at getting those rhythms sport on! 😝😂 As for these intro songs, I really can’t remember what the very original song’s key signature is but I swear to god Sparkles of Light is C sharp major/D flat minor.
Something about the season 8 opening just doesn't do it for me. I think it's how simple everything is. It's kind of a neat throwback to the original style of music, and I do appreciate that Winx is back to using minor key songs, but it still feels like a preschool song to me. Now Cosmix, on the other hand...
It literally doesn't. S5-7 intros sound like preschool songs, S8 intro literally sounds so mature and serious. From the first second you know something's serious is going to happen! I literally have IDENTICAL reaction to it like him, I'm glad someone else also realized how good it is

Very nice video, and great ranking. I don't like the 4kids opening (the lyrics are kinda flat, and the fact that they use it for transformation music in that dub is unforgiveable) and I don't like Season 5's intro or season 8's intro. Imo, in the Cinelume openings, Winx still retained its identity as an Italian show. Seasons 5 and 6's openings sound too American, kinda like Winx was kind of beginning to lose its identity. Just my opinion. Cinelume's openings will ALWAYS be the most nostalgic to me. I will admit tho, Heller also Licht is a BEAUTIFUL opening, I have it on my Spotify, lol. The instrumental and lyrics are beautiful and match Winx very well, and the singer really did an amazing job. She has a beautiful and powerful voice.
I hate the fact that the Italian singer for Under the Sign of Winx was replaced by a generic American girl. it's not very important but it makes it come off as an American cartoon and erases the European aspect of it.

I don’t think the 4Kids theme is nostalgia for fans outside of English speaking region For me, a person who didn’t grow up in those regions, I find that the song is just repetitive and boring And I find that under the sign of the Winx is actually nostalgic and throw back to when I was a kid

Very nice video, and great ranking. I don't like the 4kids opening (the lyrics are kinda flat, and the fact that they use it for transformation music in that dub is unforgiveable) and I don't like Season 5's intro or season 8's intro.
Imo, in the Cinelume openings, Winx still retained its identity as an Italian show. Seasons 5 and 6's openings sound too American, kinda like Winx was kind of beginning to lose its identity. Just my opinion.
Cinelume's openings will ALWAYS be the most nostalgic to me. I will admit tho, Heller also Licht is a BEAUTIFUL opening, I have it on my Spotify, lol. The instrumental and lyrics are beautiful and match Winx very well, and the singer really did an amazing job. She has a beautiful and powerful voice.

I hate the fact that the Italian singer for Under the Sign of Winx was replaced by a generic American girl. it's not very important but it makes it come off as an American cartoon and erases the European aspect of it.
