The reason why this is very emotional to watch for Filipinos because they understand the reason why the groceries given to them are a HUGE PRESENT they could bring home to their families. They literally work hard for their family. When they get paid they give the whole lot to their mother to budget and it's a really tight budget! Most of the time there isn't much food come x-mas or b-days for millions of families, most of the time, they don't have special food on the table for x-mas....they don't celebrate b-days either because they simply couldn't afford them. Most of their salaries goes to school tuition fees, school allowances, school transport for their siblings because school is not free in the Philippines. Plus you have to budget for everything you need in the house like electricity, water, food and everything you need daily, and you better pray for good health because hospital isn't free, either. That's why watching that video made me cry a river because I feel for those families.

It was an almost 8 hour event held at the SM Mall of Asia last Dec. 3, 2016 "Taga-Hatid" means "Bringer" TRIVIA: The Philippines celebrates the longest Christmas Season ever. It is not uncommon here in the Philippines to see people start decorating for Christmas during the "BER" months Beginning of course in September (Fall) and the Christmas celebrations even overlap the New Year. Christmas officially ends during the Feast of the Three Kings or Three Magi, during the first week or 2nd week of January.

Be it during holiday presented or many other special days around the different countries of the world, example New Years, Independence day, Mother's /father's day just to name a few, there are those who work at airports(cargo area, customer service) and the tribulations they at times face, so yes it is nice to see these kind of gestures for some in the world, I know I appreciate for having worked in hotel, airlines and other customer service area I can relate.

I've worked in a restaurant before so I know how it feels when you're preparing for closing time and then there's this one customer who came in and order a bunch of meals. You just want to curse that person hahaha
As an overseas filipino (not worker - I live in the US for school), I bawled watching this.... Makes me so homesick because I can't always go back home for holidays, so it gets quite lonely. Also, knowing that some of my family members from home have to work 14hr days, 6 days a week, it sucks that I can't help them more and it makes me feel guilty that I'm so privileged to be here and they're there...
