O'HARE is an international Airport. It does have many foreign carriers serve the airport. Both United and American have international flights as well. But the majoriry of connecting passengers are domestic, as are most hubs in the U.S. Chicago is the nation's third largest city and suppirts O'HARE very well. It still produces one of the highest passenger counts in the nation, trailing only Denver, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.
@@brettstewart948 clearly they're talking about the person that created the video. He called it Chicago airport like that was the actual name and like it was the only airport. They're calling out the idiot in the video.
Every runway at ORD can land/depart a 747. Also other than DEN (which has a more modern/optimized layout) no other major airport also expects to handle the same volume with accumulating snow.
Some pilots probably wish that ORD would have kept one of the 14-32 runways. Runway 14R-32L was 13,000 feet long! And, winds at ORD can howl out of the northwest, especially in the winter after a cold front passes.
Passenger numbers do not matter for air traffic, its aircraft operations that matter. For aircraft operations ORD, ATL, DFW, and DEN are all pretty close to each other.
I’ve noticed seeing a tun of small planes like CRJ A319 and 737-800’s that go out of ohare how ever each individual plane seems to fly the exact same rote multiple times a day after finding out one plane could fly the same domestic route more then once a day it blew my mind
Why does this guy keep saying Ohare international is small and doesn't have alot of traffic and domestic, it's actually ranked top ten and the top airports aren't that far ahead 😅 from Ohare
Duh because it's such a big airport also Chicago has two airports in case you don't know ORD and MDW and they're also international airports both of them so yeah

It's not chicago airport. Call it by its name. There's midway airport too. But the reason why it's so large is because it's an international airport. That's it and that's all. Alot of people travel to, from, and through chicago. You wasted 12 minutes over something that could've been explained in a short.
This video is nonsense… o’Hare is a major international hub not to mention all the international cargo that comes in and that is not in small regional jets. Also O’Hare has 16 runways not 8

Dallas/Fort Worth?
Just to be clear Chicago has TWO airports. O’Hare AND Midway. Also both are international airports.
Ya don’t say?😅

Shortened answer: is big, busy, international, lots of planes land

The speaker's voice is kinda similar to 3B1B‘s 🤔
Sounds like a chicago/midwestern accent
Because it’s busy. I simplified it for you.
Great video

O’Hare has 8 runways… but the video’s thumbnail only has 7?
I just noticed that 😂
great video!

You are so repetitive.
Way to say the same 3 things over and over to pad the length of your terribly researched video
