🩺ABOUT DR. BREWER
Dr. Brewer started as an Emergency Doctor. After seeing too many preventable heart attacks, he went to Johns Hopkins to learn Preventive Medicine. While there, he went on the run the post-graduate training program (residency) in Preventive Medicine. From there, he made a career of practicing and managing preventive medicine and primary care clinics. His later role in this area was Chief Medical Officer for Premise, which has close to 1,000 primary care/prevention clinics. He was also the Chief Medical Officer for MDLIVE, the second largest telemedicine company. More recently, he founded PrevMed, a heart attack, and stroke prevention clinic.
At PrevMed, we focus on heart attack, stroke, and cognitive decline. We serve patients who have already experienced an event as well as those who have not developed a diagnosis or event. Dr. Brewer provides services via telemedicine or in-person to individuals all over the world. We find a lot of undiagnosed prediabetes or insulin resistance. Treating unrecognized risk factors like prediabetes allows reduction of risk and prevention of disease.

Great job as always Ford!!
Thanks, Chuck. It's good to hear from you!
Thank you Ford, I have always enjoyed listening to your mechanisms of action … don’t apologise for using the correct terminology because I appreciate the education. Many thanks 🥰 as always.
Thanks
Thank you very much for the very helpfull information
Good explanation thank you.
Thanks
Good video, thanks for sharing! 👍
Gotta get me one
Does Life Line Screening provide CIMT? I only see PSV (Peak Systolic Velocity) in their sample report.
Ford do you know of or can you recommend anyone proficient in CIMT in the UK ? Thank you for the content you provide.
My cardiologist here in Idaho just told me that CIMT tests have no value in managing heart disease. I will be going to CardioRisk in Salt Lake City in May for a CIMT test and hopefully finding a new cardiologist who believes in this technology.
Thank you very much!
Thank you doc for all the informative videos. What dose of statin do you recommend or were you taking to aid in the reversal of calcium deposits in the arteries?
I almost exclusively use very low doses
@@PrevMedHealthwhat about niacin 500 mg at night before bed?
Any studies on oral minoxidil reducing arterial age?
Is there a version of this without the annoying music?
Can a transcranial ultrasound capture the same images as a CMIT?
Can Carotidynia mimic plaque in youth carotid arteries???
Should we expect a number on CIMT, or is the result “none to minima”l enough on a CIMT report?
You can try an estimated age number, & a statement of whether the plaque is stable or not. But you are likely to need a little help.
"This superficial area used for the cells use to drop off waste materials and to pick up oxygen energy glucose, etc." "Then the insulin damage those fine hairy cells" I mean with the cholesterol blocking this area and insulin damage, the blood turns toxic? And with not enough oxygen, starts to kill parts of the body? Is it like the fatty liver? When is a fatty liver (for any reason) stops producing bile and the body doesn't take advantage of the nutrients and fat is not disintegrated, due to a lack of bile, the fatty liver also blocks the production of thyroid hormones and the body becomes intoxicated? Greetings.
❓😒 So once again it appears that LDL is something to watch - and perhaps a very low dose statin may reduce inflammation risk .
