    Thank you for this info and thank you Lectric , Ive been about ready to pull the trigger on either the KBO or Velotric but have had my concerns on each one and I really wanted the torq sensor and I always heard good reviews about Lectric and your customer service but you just didnt offer the bike I was wanting , well I think you hit the nail on the head perfectly looks like your going to get a new customer , thank you again Im sure you just ended my fusturating search . I would like to see an ajustable curved handle bar on the step over like on the step through and fenders and rack as standerd equipment , and a better deraillier .

    Lectric’s first bicycle with a torque sensor was the XPremium.

    This video needs 95% more images of the bike and way less images of a dude sitting on a bench talking about a bike …

    I have the XPremium and absolutely love it and the experience of riding it with the torque sensor. I wonder what the ride experience between the XPremium and the XPress compares. Mid drive vs hub drive, both with torque sensors. I am seriously considering adding this new XPress to garage so I can ride both bikes. Does anyone know if there is much of a difference? Thanks for putting out this video. By the way, because of the fantastic customer service from Lectric, I won't ever buy an electric bike from a different brand. Lectric all the way! I love how they keep coming up with new models.

    Interesting to see the few markets that Lectric is staying out of still.

    I have the Torque Sensor on the Lectric XPeak. Is this a different torque sensor? I love the torque sensor over the cadence sensor on my XP 3.0.

    The torque sensor that they have developed sounds interesting and hopefully, it works. That being said, the other components on this bike are on the lower tier and even though you get a bike at a low price point, the question becomes whether it will last and perform as advertised. There is also the issue regarding UL certification. More and more manufacturers are realizing that these certifications are needed. Without them, companies cannot sell their bikes in New York City and very soon state legislators will enact similar laws to protect the consumer. Companies like Velotric are ahead of the curve. The bottom line is that you get what you pay for. Lectric should be admired for their effort in getting people on electric bikes and certainly, they have a varied offering. But having worked in a bike shop, I have seen more than a few come in with issues, and fixing them becomes expensive.

      I guess the riding experience is pretty tied up for us.

    How does the lectric xpress torque sensor compared to cyc photon and toseven dm01 torque sensors?

    I need a bike, where my handlebars are up high and I want a bike that hopefully will be higher than what these seem to be! I always buy a man’s bike because it is taller. I always have the seat as high as it will go so I can extend my legs completely! I want a higher speed and distance, one that will safely pull a dog trailer!
    What would you suggest!
    Oh I would like the option to either use power or to pump the wheels myself!

  • @kelalamusic9258

    Do they come with a smaller wheel and frame size? I’d like to get one for my wife, but that would be way too big for her.

    Well, if what he says is true about cracking the code with pinion torque sensor novelty optimum setup then the next step would be apply for a patent.

    Great review! Which bike is the better bike, Xpress M24 750 Vs. Velotric Commuter & All Terraine? The color selection & pearl White quality appears to be better on the Velotric along with the fenders incl. in the price. Lectric does not.
    I have X 3.0 and love it
    Waiting for your feedback before I buy! Thanks😊

      I was going to buy the new Volectric Fold 1 before I read a few reddit forums dedicated to Volectrics horrible or non existent customer service. The Express step through with the 750 watt motor is looking like a better alternative to most of what Volectric has to offer.

      Same here, I would hope that a future XPress had a better selection of colours and slightly stronger rear rack. But these are less important qualities.

      That is what I was thinking the entire video as wel. Lectrc seems to not want to be reminded of the XPremium for some reason . I have one and think it is awesome.

      @@patneil6844 probably because you had to peddle to hit 28, not just throttle. It only has 500 watt but has the torque of 750 watt hub motors.

      @@ElectricBikeJournalyou are talking about a different product. They used to have a product called the xpremium which they discontinued that did in fact have a torque sensor

    • @HawkAlumn
      @HawkAlumn 7 месяцев назад +2

      Yep. From their site:
      “The XPremium's mid-drive motor is paired with a dynamic torque sensor, which measures how fast and how hard you’re pedaling to increase motor responsiveness. We’ve also invested into a game-changing shift sensor - which makes the relationship between you and your eBike smooth and controlled.”

    • @ElectricBikeJournal
      @ElectricBikeJournal  7 месяцев назад +2

      The retired xpremium had a mid drive which used a torque sensor. Ultimately the torque sensor they are debuting with the xpress is their first in house designed torque sensor.

    Could you please add another test for all electric bikes?
    Electric Skateboards are all about moving along with the electric motor and no assist.
    The test I’m suggesting Is to ride an Ebike unassisted by pedaling Up A Hill

    If you listen to what he says it’s not really a torque sensor. It’s a cadence sensor with 94 magnets. They are marketing it as a cadence sensor.

      I know there is some confusion with the way Lectric discusses the torque sensor in the XPress, but do your due diligence and it definitely is a true torque sensor.
