In the days of Moses the Lord led Israel by the mouths of prophets. When the Israelites wished to know anything concerning their welfare, they went to the prophet. The SOP is to us today, what the mouth of the living prophet was to Israel back then, a sure guidance. As long as we accept and use the SOP for guidance we will be safe. The last great effort of Satan will be to make of none effect the SOP. This is because he knows just how important it. Today many are rejecting it and they do so to their peril. God's original plan was to give his message to the prophet; the prophet would give the message to the priests and Levites and they in turn would give it to the people. At times the prophets would go directly to the people with their message and we can understand why.
