  • My first trip to Sweden, ever. It was Xmas of 2011. What an amazing country. Can't want to go back, at any time of the year! A very special thanks to my girlfriend's family whom made me feel so welcome and made my trip truly memorable. Meeting you all for the first time was daunting to think of but thanks to who you are, made it effortless to feel at home.
    Tack så mycket!
Majority of footage you see is in Stockholm, and a little was in Turku, Finland. It was edited in a chronological fashion*, so each clip was cut one after the other, as they appeared on the memory card. Snow, ice, sunken ships, wolverines, lynx, marmosets, city lights and fireworks all make a cameo in this video :)
The song is called "Angeln i rummet" by Laleh. It was played heaps whilst I was over there. I loved the song, it's very "Christmassy" and now everytime I hear it, reminds me of Sweden - that's a good thing!
*apart from the Windmill before and after - for obvious reasons :)
    Technical stuff:
    Canon 7D shot in 1920 x 1080 @ 30fps
    Canon EFS 18-55mm lens
    Circular Polarizer
    Edited in Premiere Pro CS5 (W7 64bit) on a HP ProBook 4310s
    Editing time: about 60 minutes
Timelapse at intro/outro shot using GoPro HD @ 3 second intervals, imported into Pr CS5 as "Numbered Stills".
Exported as F4V Match Source Attribute (High Quality), CBR, 1 pass, 10mbps (realise this exceeds what RUclips can handle - but that won't be it's only platform)
