Amy hi you must have an asbestos mouth! That chilli oil would floor me lol. Beautiful video all of your videos are amazing and beautifully presented Thankyou
Well.. I think it's the edit. I'm actually tasting the finished Khao Soi and not the chili oil - I'd probably die LOL. Thank you so much for always supporting my channel. It is really nice to know that you appreciate the presentation and cinematography. That keeps us motivated to produce more and better videos. Have a spicy day
The chef is so handsome. He seems very kind.
Paw Pah Chef Goff is a nice guy - you should go try his food

I wish she added his opinion so muxh more and just translated it to us all. Because we are all important especially the chef!
I value your opinion and all comments are important. However, in this case I guess you forgot to activate the subtitles in the video - Everything the chef says in Thai is translated in the captions (cc). Thanks for watching
Sawade ka... looks delicious :-)

@@WorldofThaiFood you’re welcome
Hi Amy, just found out about your channel, love this Khao Soi recipe made by you and Chef Goff ! I also do have a Khao Soi recipe on my channel, but it's more like the amateurish version of it lol. I'm jealous of your accent too by the way, your English is very good !
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed my Khao Soi recipe and Channel. Learning languages is all about practice so keep at it. Good luck with your project 🙏
That dish is so nice. But i wonder where are the fried noodles on top? Its so cool to put them there and its pretty iconic...
flaubertot Hi! All chefs have their own take, preference and style. In this instance Chef Goff chose not to dress it that way. You can easily add it if you want to add a bit of styling to the plating. Have a spicy day 🌶🙏
@@WorldofThaiFood yes u are right. I love ur channel. Spicy greets from germany
flaubertot 🙌🙏So happy to hear that! Thank you very much
Thank you so much for this recipe. Can you pls post what are the ingredients in the chilli oil? Just chilli flakes?
Heat up oil (very very hot) and pour it over dried chili flakes. This is potentially very dangerous. Make sure not to reach the flashpoint of the oil and also be careful when you pour/handle the hot chili oil. Thanks for watching and good luck 🙏
Amy thanks. What is the khao soi sauce made from? Tanx
Khao Soi sauce is made from a specific Khao Soi curry paste and coconut milk. I don't have a recipe for it, but I plan to share various curry paste recipes soon. Stay tuned for more delicious recipes and culinary adventures! 😊🍛
Can you also please share the recipe for the curry paste?
Thai curry paste recipes are tricky for the following reasons: If you don't live in southeast Asia with access to fresh herbs of good quality the paste will not come out satisfactory even if you follow the recipe to the letter i.e. it won't taste right. Secondly, making paste is an art that needs the cook to adjust the amounts based on the freshness and quality of herbs each time it is made, which makes it difficult to share a recipe since I can't guarantee that it will yield results matching my standards and approach to authenticity. That being said, I still plan to make a series of paste tutorials at a later stage. For now - please buy the ready made paste. There are several brands that make a half decent Khao Soi paste.
Thank you for watching!!

Nel P Thank you very much! Plenty more delicious Thai videos to come your way 🙏
Hello! Thank you for sharing the recipe. I would like to say will you please tell us how it taste. Is it supposed to be sweet? Or is the curry broth supposed to be think or thin? If you can tell us how the dish is supposed to taste like, it will give us a better idea of how to cook ours. Thank you.
Kuv me Nplooj Siab Hi! Thank you for watching 🙏 It’s quite difficult to describe the taste since the different herbs of the curry paste together with sugar and umami paint a rather complex but delicious canvas on the palate.
As for the thickness of the sauce - the video clearly shows that the sauce is runny and thin.
Most importantly, you must have access to Khao Soi paste in order to make this dish. If you have access to the paste, Palm sugar and good quality fish sauce, coconut cream etc., and follow my process your taste should be close to that in this video.
Let me know if you try to make it. Thanks
World of Thai Food thank you for your reply.
How do u make the khao soi paste?
We will produce that paste recipe video along with a number of other pastes over the course of this year. It's planned and coming. Thank you for watching
Great Video - I found the Khao Soi you find in Pai and other northern areas has much more sauce compared to the one made here in this video. Still an amazing dish wherever it is made. I bought some paste back from Chiang Mai and will make it tonight.
Zack Jones Hi 🙏 and thanks for taking the time to comment. The more you travel and eat across various parts of Thailand you’ll see that there are a lot of regional versions of certain dishes. In addition, each Thai family have their own cooking traditions. Like you’re beginning to explore, it’s a vast cuisine with a lot of geographical variance - enjoy your Thai culinary journey & Happy cooking
